Excellent way for me to get to work with people and improve my maths skills.
The most challenging thing is coming across mathematical problems that are not similar to what I've solved but i must be able to assist students. it's more like a learning experience more than just a job. i enjoy learning while teaching other because yo discover new ways to solve different problems and the most inspiring is the fact that these students look up to you.
Pros: great way to learn more and understand further.
Cons: it's hard because each mathematical problem is hard and when you are not a lecturer.

Working with students popularce is one of the most challenging issues.
I've been working in the administration of residence. Working tirelessly under difficult conditions. The space of learning is the most challenging environment because you cooperate with academics. They always try by all means to criticize your job. Fortunately enough, i managed to produce good work for my employer and give best service to students which is one of the objectives of the institution. I am looking forward to work in your company in delivering the best service.
Pros: I am willing to give the best service for both parties employer and clients
Cons: I do not mind to work over time for the benefit of institution and their clients.

It helped me to build my confidence and inhanced my presentation skills
I had to deal with students by facilitating them during practicals. This helped me to build my confidence when standing in front of people and my presentation skills. This also helped me to work independently because i had to prepare before i go to demonstrate students.
Pros: It was a great opportunity to practice more about what i did on my undergraduate
Cons: I had to make time by compromising my study time

Don't work hard, work smart. Let me help you....
In my last job I was head hunted by recruiters at UKZN. They required a top-performing individual which was an excellent match to that of my personality, experience and smart work. My typical day at the office begins at 8:00am sharp, where I offer my extensive experience in personal assistance, general administration, student administration, module/course administration, secretarial experience, financial/claims administration, and finally travel booking. Throughout the day I go about utilising my various other types of skills such as computing skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, events management, problem solving, coordination skills and many more. Possessing fine attributes such as high levels of honesty and trustworthiness can sometimes be a downfall for me as colleagues tend to get a bit too chatty and tend to seek my personal advice. However, I have learnt how to postpone these sessions for lunch hour or after work. I then leave the office at 16:00pm.
Pros: Great opportunities if advancing studies
Cons: After hour meetings

A Reverse Racist Institution
A Reverse Racist institution (yes, I know that theoretically that does not exist, but there is no other way to describe it). In order to progress at UKZN you must be black, completely black, not even of colour. If you are not black enough you get nowhere at UKZN. An exploitative institution filled with narrow-minded individuals who hold positions of power. These individuals often abuse these positions. In addition, contract staff are treated like dirt at UKZN (Edgewood campus in particular) and they never get made permanent even when positions become available, especially if they are not black enough for the reversed racist policies upheld by UKZN. Those in power do not care about the people who work under them, but rather only look out for themselves, people like the Dean are very sly, underhanded and false.
Pros: Good space to develop academically
Cons: No opportunities for advancement if you are not black and a suck up.

Excellent theoretically-based work and great practical practice work in laboratories
The work includes a merge between theory and learning and application of the knowledge obtained thereof into practical work prominently in the laboratory(Microbiology and biochemistry). From morning till early afternoon includes lectures which is then followed by the practical component until late afternoon. Work includes both individual work and work as a team, this requires a good relationship with colleagues so as to gel together for the best results. I have learnt the theorical work which serves as a basis for all that follows and allows the capacity to meander the spectrum of similarities in the relevant field of study. The actual application of this knowledge is most interesting as it brings a conceptualization of the knowledge gained. On the other hand the juggling of theory and practical work and projects on a given day pose a challenge as time management can be an issue, most of the work has to be done after hours so as to compensate.
Pros: Great opportunity for Qualification
Cons: Long hours of combine theory and practical work

Honours student
As I am an Honours student I find it very interesting, cause my work is challenging me everyday to better myself. I have a good relationship with my Lecturers in class and off class as well. I have learnt that in anything in life it is very important to give it 100% effort in order to obtain good result at the end. I enjoyed doing presentations cause that is where i had to explain my knowledge of my research in the Agricultural Economics field and Agricultural Plant Sciences field. Managing my work as an Honours student, since there are lot of submissions being done throughout the year.
Pros: Since I have started as an undergrad I have been working very hard to get my Degree. But qualifying for my Honours was a wonderful achievement for me.
Cons: Mornings till late

The working environment was a lively atmosphere about it, a great experience not only for work and learning, but to also build and maintain genuine long lasting friendships from interim worker all the way to supervisors and employers!
Pros: Great opportunity to learn about the real stuff, 'on the field' type of experience
