Good entry level job
A typical work day as a till operator is to make sure your till works, is clean, you have the necessary equipment (such as pen, serviettes, spoons, forks, etc). Because you work with customers its best to walk the floor in order to know what is on special and to see if there's enough stock of items and also to better promote the brand with certain sale items , etc I've learnt to always be flexible and to know your stock
Pros: Flexibility, building relationships with both colleagues and customers and getting to know who your customer is
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent
I love working with people. I learned how to treat customers in a good way like how to deal with them and how to assist them. I just love the environment because it was my first job that's where I learned how to cope in a busy environment, how to manage queue and to handle incoming and outgoing calls. I love the experience they taught me especially my colleagues and supervisors
Pros: Great opportunity
Cons: Long hours

Excellent learning curve
I have been with Woolworths for 10years and I must say that I love the brand. Wearing the 'W' uniform gives u such dignity and people show you so much of respect because Woolworths is a well established brand and people love and respect the brand for selling quality products and offering 100% customer service to its clients. Absolutely love the culture... No diversity, all of us work as a team and we love and respect each other. For 10 years woolworths has been a company that looks after my well being and I am grateful for that. I have learnt to interact greatly with people from all walks of life, I have learnt to carry myself with with pride but most of All my customer service will always be 100% because I learnt from the best.. However we all want better things out of life, including better salaries
Pros: Great opportunities for growth
Cons: Public holiday hours

Excellent learning curves
Working can be stressful but in return i enjoy it when theres always work because time flies when you do a proper job. Its a typical working environment in which we build as a team each day although we have our differences which any other job has, so everyday is a typical working day but some more streesful than others.
Pros: great team
Cons: working weekends

Excellent start to my career
A typical day at work is a busy one,one of the things I must do is to extract the weekend failure in all our stores across the globe and request IT to assist with more information regarding the weekends failure. The relationship between me and fellow employees must all the time be good because we work hand in hand to resolve queries. In a midst where the is so much do to and pressure that we sometimes receive from frustrated customers means that we must be vigilant and work so hard to resolve those queries.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Put in a lot of work on a daily basis

Brilliant training and development area
I have a very good relationship with my learners and colleagues. We like a family in the training room and we talk about everything whether it is work related or personal.I love coming to work everyday because of the atmosphere in the learning centre. The class interactions we have, the multimedia programmes we use and the practical examples we engage in makes a typical day extraordinary and I have learnt a lot about the supply chain and management sector of how everything in the stores gets to be there on time and each system used to be able to track all the stores of the franchise. The only challenge I can say I am facing at work is that we don't get sufficient support for the learners as production is the main focus so learners tend to loose focus because of being back and forth to the warehouse and learning centre
Pros: Great Learning Curve,excellent benefits
Cons: Minimum remuneration package for Technical/AET Trainer not met

Excellent learning experience
Working at Woolworths made me learn on how to work in a team and also how to have good customer service when it cames to those difficult customers. I enjoy helping customers with any sort of problem they have with their accounts or out source garmes that they want that we do not have in store. Relationship with co-workers should always be standard try to avoid conflict all the time.
Pros: Having to promote one of the services you have instore
Cons: Long working hours 9 to 10 hours a day
