Excellent learning curve

I have been with Woolworths for 10years and I must say that I love the brand. Wearing the 'W' uniform gives u such dignity and people show you so much of respect because Woolworths is a well established brand and people love and respect the brand for selling quality products and offering 100% customer service to its clients. Absolutely love the culture... No diversity, all of us work as a team and we love and respect each other. For 10 years woolworths has been a company that looks after my well being and I am grateful for that. I have learnt to interact greatly with people from all walks of life, I have learnt to carry myself with with pride but most of All my customer service will always be 100% because I learnt from the best.. However we all want better things out of life, including better salaries

Pros: Great opportunities for growth
Cons: Public holiday hours

Before you save a customer you greet, serve

I was a great opportunity to work for my Woolworth's I have learn that the job task you have given for the day, must be done and finished, the job was not difficult because it's an day by day tasks. If you don't understand what to you have to do, you call collegue from other stores to assist you. We have strong relationships as if all working under one roof. I have learn to work in peace with any different ethic group sharing knowledge and experiences. The challenging aspect it's when you deal with the difficult customer, you have to explain in a professional and polite manner, so that he/she can come tomorrow to buy because of the way our customers treated. I have enjoyed to working during holidays weekends. When work on holiday you earn more money in your pocket.

Pros: Yes it was, but the one thing there we're no favorite, first come first served
Cons: I have never experienced bad attitude on working long hours.

Excellent learning curve and career growth

A typical work day at woolworths its when somebody resigns or dismissed.I have learnt to work under pressure hence our store had a lot of employees, build a great relationship with them.what i enjoyed the most is my work as an Admin. The most challenging aspects of my job is getting to know peoples names and staff numbers, when they leave the company you then have to know the details of the new ones.

Pros: opportunities for promotion and education
Cons: long hours especially weekends.
