I use to work for Woolworths for about 15 years. The company allows self development.
I am still willing to share what I have learned from my previous employer and gain knowledge from the company that will see the need of giving me another chance of life. Mostly I have learned many things about my self in many ways and about how to work with many different people. It is when I or my team meet the deadline, it makes everyone happy. It when I or we struggle to meet the deadline due to people not getting along due to their personal reasons.
Pros: Rewards those with long service.
Cons: Working on public holidays.

If you dedicated enough you can grow within a year depending on your attitude and experience.
Staff is very friendly, its normally busy during weekends and the nice part is that we are unique camparing with other retail companies,we give exceptional customer service. What I have learned is patience, dilivering the best, doing follow ups ,treating customers all the same and building long term relationships with customers.what I enjoy most is the passion that staff has for customers and team work using buddy buddy system. The most challenging part is when there is no enough stock on the shelfs or price is being labeled incorrectly but either than that it is just amazing.
Pros: you can grow within a year depending on your dedication.
Cons: store closes at 8:00pm Mon to Fri how ever staff transport is provided.

Great growth
Its been great. Dealing with difficult customers and solving problem on the spot. I ended up building relationships with my customers in a manner that I will know what they came for the minute they enter. Workwise it has not been a free ride it is very difficult to be in retail as a young graduate who is passionate about her field o study. You do not get noticed, you have to strive and apply to other places.
Pros: Product knowledge
Cons: Working on weekends and public holidays

Diverse learning experience
It was a great company to work at but the salary was not worth the time, effort , passion and sacrifice one put into it . Other than that I loved what I did , the company I worked for and the people I worked with. A typical day was to : -motivate staff to achieve Store targets -To ensure daily store disciplines are in place -Ensure stock is replenished accurately and effectively -Focus on customer service and sales -Manage stock losses and shrinkage .
Pros: Career growth
Cons: Long working hours
