Excellent leaening curve
Working as security for my company is not bad. Just that we working lot of hours but we get paid small wage. We face challenges on access control mostly. Some ppl comes late at work and expect us not to register them as they try to cover time. So they make it our problem. They expect us not to do our job but sympathise for them. You end up arguing with that person. She/he will end up hating you.
Pros: There are few opportunities for promotion. Because even if there is a post. We're the last to know that.

Excellent
Working as security officer it's a start for me,as looking forward for a change,m working with a gun everyday the at means u have to kill same one to show the work is done,i want to change that.working hard,extra hour salaries still the same or get less,being security officer it's a start for going forward in life,so i worked hard to get my drivers licence so I can make change of my life

It's a good compony and we're working nice
I'm a hard worker and I make sure that's I'm doing my job without complaining i respect my supervisor and my colleagues even clayent, and I'm following the instructions all the time, i don't like to be absert at work and I'm doing my job perfect

Working at airpot gives me more strength to accomodate and inspire my future
it was a good oportunity where i learn how to be in airpot with its regardness and principle,having a good team from management to staff enjoying working at the airpot.challenges came but we never take it serius becouse we work with different people
Pros: knowing screening of people and bags from in and out of the restricted areas
Cons: it was longs hours but it gives me stength to be patience

Lots of duties not only admin.
Because it's a security company there are a lot of duties involved and as we allocated in Bulk connections at the national key point I process permits for people wanting to access bulk connections do inductions for them and I also sign in trucks to load and off load and also dispatch.
Pros: None
Cons: Long hours. Not enough opportunities inside as we are not directly employed by Bulk connections but Bidvest Protea coin so there is no growth or promotion's

Exellent experience opportunity
Daily I am responsible for managing all operational activities regarding the safety and security on three mine areas as requested by the clients. Furthermore I manage all the other work related issues for all the Bidvest Protea Coin employees on my contracts e.g. Disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases, recruitments in order to ensure that all contract requirements are met. I have a very good relationship with all my employees and a lot of employees has been working with me for a long time. My job is very challenging seeing that every day is different and I must really at times be able to make quick decisions in order for operations to run smoothly. I really enjoy my work and do not mind long working hours
Pros: Learn how to think quickly and manage any incident that occurs
Cons: can be very stresfull at time

Excellent learning curve
I have learn and gain alot of experience and i gives thanks to all my leader's for teaching and incouraging me in my work environment and i really enjoyed working in this kind of environment becouse we were working as a team and helping each other in our daily basis,i am motivated about life becouse of this environment and i ready for any challenge in life that i may come across becouse they have groomed and teach me everything about life. Thank you

Good learning
I have learned to communicate effectively with clients as well as co workers.I enjoyed most the moment we end the shift without customer complained. What challenges me was the moment I. Have to deal with difficult customer.

Great learning and career grooming expirience.
I worked in Bidvest Protea Coin with an incomplete qualification in Administration, when i applied at the company i had applied to work as a receptionist or an administrator. My manager saw potential in me and i was then sent to work in HR. Having that opportunity made me eager to study towards HR so i applied with the University of South Africa to study towards a degree in HR. Working at Bidvest Protea Coin has taught me to prioritize and plan my work. On a daily basis i normally have a set up plan on how my day is going to look like, but obviously this requires one to be at least thirty minutes early so you can plan properly. I have a very good working relationship with my superiors to the extent where they can leave me with duties to do on my own

My workplace Ethics
I am currently working both day shift and night shift in a client site that has a complement of six security officers. each shift has two officers. My relationship with my co-worker is very good in terms of communication and working hand in hand. i have learnt that through good communication, a job is completed without errors. I enjoy every moment when i knock of at work without a customer or client complaining about my performance. My job challege most when i have to deal with difficult customers.
