Terrible job
The hours are extremely long, sometimes from 8am-1am the next morning simply because your boss will not allow you to go! The bosses are arrogant and do not listen to complaints. The salary after deductions is only enough to pay rent. I have no time with my family and I struggle to support them. I have bern to the doctor countless times and he has told me I am constantly sick due to being overworked. Please do not apply for this job if you intend on living

Its a nice Environment to work within
It's a retail,customer service environment where you have to communicate and help customers.. As well as ensuring they leave the store happy with their goodd well Packed.The Colleagues are very friendly And I've learnt good communication skills.The Job could be challenging during Holidays where the shop gets full .Because you would have to work extra hard

Excellent
Working with checkers is the great experienc and it been so wonderfull towork therw with the whole managment team as well with my staff, i have learnt a lot in this company and i have gain so much , lot of things i know it because of checkers. The most things i enjoy about working here , when the is promotiom or any other event that take place , you are given an opportunity to use your knowledge to come up with the brillaint display ,merchandising in other to attract the customers attention, of which am very good when it comes to display nd customer service. The most challenging aspect, when the big bosses had to come and visits the store ,it always gonna be challenging even thou you know you have done everything accordingly but it always challenging that why i have tthought my self to be always working not wait for work to pile up and do it on the last minte

Excellent learning curve and experience in the retail industy
What I learned at checkers is how to work with customers, How to manage a team of people, confidence in a working inviroment. Learning to work with my co-workers as a team. Learned how to work and handle tremendous pressure with very heavy workloads and responsibilities. Learned how Working at Checkers: To conduct myself in big meetings with a lot of people and how to address people in the correct manner.
Pros: Great opportunity in marketing and communication with poeple of all walks of life

Learning opportunities
Good for training, but not long stay then move on to bigger companies with the experience, as the are limited opportunities to grow, only fine with salary if you are a manager.

Customer service, i have participated in several department to gain more knowledge and experience of how to deal with customers service and to meet new challenges in a dynamic working environment irrespective of rewards and recognition and recognition.
Pros: To have a team spirits and use it as good advantage to increase our sale week after week.
Cons: Working under pressure without assistant alone.

Cashier We always have good relationships with our colleagues I have learnt to be patient and calm down when dealing with customers I enjoy to service customers The the most challenging aspects is when you come across a difficult customer
