I enjoy working for checker my co-workers and the seniors are very good and nice
It's very nice working for my company my co-workers and the seniors are very good because they allow me to learn everything that I needed to know now I know almost everything about retail, the typical work day is when there is a busy in the store but at the end of the day everything reamains good

No opportunities, was exhausting to be available 24/7
Sad but true but some fmcg companies work like robots and we as workers are just a number on paper, all about if you have friends in high places and if they think you fit in. All i want to do is work to the best of my ability to satisfy company requirements, to put in my 200%, not worrying about ethics of race, gender or who dislikes who. we are a great Nation and i stand in my beliefs of work hard. I did not learn anything, and i crave to learn more in life if someone will grant me the opportunity. Great relationship with staff, sometimes challenging with senior staff who uses foul and swearing word towards me and staff members, i do love this company...but again sad about the fact that they view you of who you know and not your hard work.

Checkers pay small peanuts and management are rude and favourism
Checkers is a great company to work we learn different culture and we learn people in general, checker is for student not people who have responsibilities

Very good in learning and taking instructions
I'm a hard working young man who love to work with his work mates. I love taking instructions from my bosses and my work mate. I'ved learned how to pack stuff accordingly I know how to separate perishables stuffs from groceries. I did enjoy work at the shop till the time I have to go to varsity. If I can only get another chance I will love to take the opportunity to go back to the store share the experience I had with others.
Pros: I could see myself to be promoted to be the grocery manager if I stayed

Excellent
It's a good and challenging job, as most of the time we work under pressure and long hours with no pay. We work with by people (customers) and should make sure that a customer does not leave the store unhappy.
Pros: The promotion are rare, because you can work to a new position without a new contract or changing of status
Cons: Long working hours without being payed for or with an agreement that you are going to work long hours

Learning opportunities
Good for training, but not long stay then move on to bigger companies with the experience, as the are limited opportunities to grow, only fine with salary if you are a manager.
