The job is the same everyday, not very many challenges. I feel like I'm misplaced. Good relationship with most co-workers. I've learnt part of finance even though I'm not a financial person. I've learnt to overcome a lot of obstacles. I enjoy most working with clients, solving problems and working with figures. Managing people is the most challenging aspect of my job especially in an environment where people feel threatened. People who have been in a company for too long want to work with people more similar to them education wise and once one seems to be more educated, they feel threatened by it. They become very rigid and reluctant to change

Cons: They talk about growth everyday but it works forbothers and not for all. The offices are not very well looked after.

It is a learning curve, you get challenged on a daily basis
Serving the community at large and all the stakeholders with different needs is satisfying. Municipal Finance department is quite an interesting career path that has taught me the budgeting process and how it gets approved by whom and when. Learnt Public Finance policies. Enjoy drawing reports and create dashboards with formula to analyse the reports better. What makes me smile is when the budget spent is 95% and all the targets set achieved. Challenge , is dealing with stakeholders who doesn't provide information on time. I have a good relationship with my colleagues

Working within a municipality is a life lesson in its own
A typical work day is starting work at 7am, getting to your desk and realizing that its lunch time and you have missed breakfast because you became so focused on getting all work done.

Good in writteng investigative reports, asset register, Maintenance of asset
Doing all types of maintenance i.e predictive, preventive etc. Doing investigation on breakdowns and writteng report and making recommendations. Getting daily, weekly work schedule from supervisor having meetings once in two weeks for progress and what meeds to be done, working as a team and as individuals and reading each others reports to see the progress and accuracy. I enjoyed almost everything about my work and duties. i learned time managing working hand in hand, doing investigation on assets. Time to complete the reports.

Excellent learning curve
I have learned a lot working in this Department , We are always busy and I enjoy that because being busy keeps us away in a lot of thing. We are working as a team mostly. But when its time to do reports they all run away and leave me alone.

Worlds Biggest Public sector SAP installation
A regular day could be a lot of meetings with the technical team to get updates on projects; fixes and changes and so forth. Then sit down to respond to emails from business. Then also sit with the developers individually to clarify or confirmation on a requirement. When all else slows down then you can respond to more emails and update specs based on days meetings. Sometime you have to stay late to confirm that the changes discussed have been implemented successfully.
Pros: A revolving door for consultant who always bring new ideas.
Cons: Can be a bit slow sometimes.

If given an opportunity I can break new grounds and ensure that I deliver to the mandate as expected
Our work entails working with transport industry which is so dynamic and have lot challenges. Due to good working relationship and understanding with fellow co-workers, everything is easy and possible. I have learnt how to meet deadlines and work under pressure to achieve the required output. I enjoy dealing with complex and challenging issues, especially where deadlines must be met. The most challenging aspect of my is contract negotiations and convincing our clients to shift into corporate companies.

Cons: Negotiating right through the night in order to reach consensus.

Excellent learning curve
generally i am apart of a maintenance team that consists of 3 trade tested artisans and 3 apprentices 1 of which i am and we forsee proper asset management and maintenance. the equipment we oversee are water treatment equipment .the structure that our maintenance team work on are very laminar and all 6 of us staff members take equal responsibilities. Each get the designated works orders and even though it drives us to work independently we prefer a collective attack to these works orders .

Be able to face with challenges and conflict resolution in the work place
Practical auditing and accounting working experience. Be able to communicate effectively with the client and have interpersonal skills and soft skills e.g Ms word, Ms excel, Sap, teammate (audit tools) and etc.
Pros: Quick learner and be able to quickly adabt to any situation
Cons: Be able to work long hours for the sake of deliverables and tight deadlines
