GOOD WORKING AND SKILLFUL COMPANY

WORKING AT MY COMPANY IS ACTUALLY GOOD I WOULD SAY BUT A VERY BUSY AND MOVING DEPARTMENT ESPECIALLY AT RECRUITMENT SECTION MORE TYPING BUT ITS GOOD FOR ME AS IT TEACH ME THE EXPERIENCE FOR WORKING AS AN ADMIN AND MY CO WORKERS ARE ACTUALLY SUPPORTIVE AND VERY LOVING .I ENJOY SOLVING PROBLEMS AND THINKING WHEN STANDING ON MY FEED, MAKING MISTAKES,NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR BOSS IS NOT AROUND,BEING SCARED OF MAKING THE WRONG DECISION ON BEHALF OF YOUR BOSS WHEN HE IS NOT PRESENT

No challenges and less career growth.

As a mechanic at my workplace I do daily maintenance and scheduled services on plant vehicles and machinery,I also supervise my fellow assistant as and when needed while I report the workshop manager where we all work as a team. Basically I've never met any severe challenges as I do minor repairs that are minimal to what I'm capable of as a qualified Artisan.

Pros: Permanent job security
Cons: No overtime

Excellent Exposure

A typical work day starts at 07:30 am. a Water Use Licence or Waste Management Licence Application is assessed and a summary of the application drafted and submitted to supervisor. The senior officials will then decide to issue a Water Use Licence or not to. Assessment of one licence can take about one to two months before issuing a licence to the applicant. The relationship with co-workers is very beautiful, they are willing to transfer the knowledge and skills and always available to assist. I have learned to be patient. I enjoy to see people taking responsibility on protecting water resources. Too much travelling, sometimes have to leave family on a Sunday in order to be in another province on a Monday morning to start working.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn all disciples of natural science. e.g Environmental, biological and chemical

I am currenty busy with my internship

I am learning so much things while now i have so many experience of being in a working place and how to work with other people. My colleagues teach me so many things so that i get experience and also they have a good communication skills.

Im gaining valuable inspection and maintenance skills in the mechanical technical field.

We deal with ensuring that steam boilers, air conditioners, standby power generators, escalators and elevators are working properly and safely. If any breakdown occurs, we should be on site immediately to attend to that particular breakdown and get it running as soon as we can. This involves doing a scope of the work to be done, estimating the costs of the work to be done, procurement of spare parts and repairing the breakdown. I work with a very dedicated team who value their work. I've learnt to work accurately and independently.

Pros: Learnt to value the clients.

Exlecent learning curve and i am still developing

Great exposure and experience in supply chain environment

I was in managing Capital & Maintenance projects, Horticultural and cleaning projects from Strategy stage to the award of the tender. I was also a Bid Specification Committee and Bid Evaluation Member for all my projects. I was involved in the evaluation of bidders. I was the secretary to pre-evaluation, BSC, BEC meetings and preparing minutes. • I supervised and train new tender administrators and also I was responsible for nominating the suppliers for emergence, urgent and normal work. Other duties include Closing tenders, responsiveness check on tenders and preparing a scoring sheet for tenders received. • I was attending, presenting on Pre-tender site meetings and Ensure that any complaints received in the tender office are attended to and resolved. • I rendered assistance to internal & external clients pertaining to tender matters and ensure same assistance is rendered by the tender office.
