So far is not my passion working here as i love supply chain but is a good learning experience

I know am the right person for the job because during my internship programme in 2017-2018 with department of public works as an intern in supply chain management i learnt alot on quations and tenders and am very good with the systems and policies used within the section.i enjoyed my work it was a very perfect learning curve for me and i loved working with my supervisors and mentors always encouraging me to work harder and helping me where i was facing challenges.i used to enjoy captueing quotations and tenders alot.

Excellent in GIS and Microsoft Office

Good day I am Zamukwanda Bukhosibakhe Mthembu, a graduate in the field of Bachelor of Science in Geography & Hydrology (NQF Level 7), Advance Diploma in Disaster Management (NQF Level 8) and also a Water Care Intern employed by Department of Public Works, because of exposure I was deployed in three different field first was deployed at Ncome Water Treatment Plant, second was deployed at King Cetshwayo District Municipality Disaster Management Centre. I would like to express my interest in the available position.

Facilities and maintenance

A typical day for me is to asses the building / equipment and facilities for any damages attend to staff logged calls for this that need to be fixed. for small repairs required i will fix myself and for major things that need to be fixed i source out quotes for suppliers. challenges would be sourcing out quotes and the department does not have a budget. over the years i have learnt to work well with colleagues as at times you they need my assistance to carry out their day to day duties.

Pros: Leaning a lot of handy work
Cons: less budget

Excellent in communication,problem solving and time management skills

I am currently doing a water management internship under department of Public works, I have learned various aspects such as the ability to identify problems and come out with solution, time management, ability to work as a team and individually, the challenging aspects are shortage of equipments to use on daily basis such as wheelbarrows, lashes, e.t.c

The programme has been developed to assist students and make them become qualified artisans, the company doesn't promise students for any job opportunity after the programs contract ended, you apply just like everyone

Quantity Surveying

I like to work with my colleagues as a team. At Radon Projects i started to specialize in Setting-Out of Trenches and Bases for the whole structure of 13storey building and also assisted in Quantity Surveying Services including taking measurement of Sub-Contractor's works for payments and reading revised Engineer's drawings for breakdown of costs to Bills of Quantities. At Public Works my main job was to manage State owned construction projects including preperation of tenders documentation, Bill of quantities and other tender requirements.

Pros: I'm working to register as a Candidate QS (SACQSP)
Cons: Unavailability of QS Softwares like WinQs
