Excellent learning experience
Being in a sales position really improved my skills on building relationships and communication skills. The working hours were not a normal 9-5 and could get quiet hectic at times. I learnt a lot about working under pressure, meeting targets, and being patient with customer relation.The most challenging aspects of the job was the awkward hours considering that it was in the alcohol industry.

Everyday is a learning Curve so i am willing to learn
I enjoy the diverse environment within the company as well as the sound relationship I have with colleagues within the work place, I have learnt to with people with different attitudes everyday

Excellent learning curve
• Analyzing sales volume forecasts, demand- & stock levels • Computing and planning bottling requirements • Scheduling production lines with regard to capacities to meet required stock levels • Liaising with applicable supporting departments (Buyers, Quality, Production, Dry goods receiving, Maintenance and NPD) • Confirming requirements and coordinating actual bottling to plans • Planning 18 month ahead • Performing stand-in duties when required for site head of production planning • Coming up with innovative solutions for upcoming problems that prevent successful planning and execution of plan

Priority is key in a complex environment: Managers cannot afford to be lost in a whirlwind
As an entry level Packaging Manager, I acquired knowledge in the importance of managing waste in order for the business to remain financially fit. The SLAs guides the department to ensure it remains efficient through ensuring service departments are held accountable for delivering on the promise. Interpersonal relations particularly with critical support departments like Engineering must be harnessed to ensure reliability is optimized for throughput requirements. Juggling many variables and ensuring priority is given to quality, safety and morale has been most exciting and challenging at the same time.

Priority in the face of complexity:
Being an entry level Packaging Manager, I have picked up extensive knowledge in Production Variances and the importance of managing them for the business to remain financially fit. I have managed a large Operational expenditure and this remain one of the more important KPAs for any profit orientated organization. Thus, getting this right is priority. The SLAs guides the department to ensure it remains efficient through ensuring all service departments are held accountable for delivering on the promise. Interpersonal relations particularly with critical support departments like Engineering must be harnessed to ensure the reliability is optimized to meeet throughput requirements.

Excellent learning experience
The company was an excellent company to work for. I've learnt a lot of discipline and working under pressure. It was a fairly large company with great opportunities for growth.
