I manage to learn and enjoy every busy moment

We worked as a family. I also had the opportunity to work out side my work space evolving myself in other duties and helping other departments. Every day was a challenge. Distell is changing their way of working and i was lucky to be apart of most of the changes. I learned in my self that their is nothing i cant learn and master on my own. I enjoyed logistics the most as it cover a big range of different challenges everyday. The biggest challenge was the internal changes you had to keep an open mind and adapt fast. People i feel relied om me to stay with the changes so i can give the other support. The DSD transport system was the most challenging but i got it. To name the stuff i did in a day i find impossible. I worked with sales, warehouse, logistic, customer service, credit control, transport department, out side transporters, IT .......Resolving queries, helping with documentation, sorting stock, pulling sales figures for customers.... thanks

Cons: the heart sore of seeing people leave and the time that it was for me to leave

Excellent learning curve

I worked as a laboratory analyst(Temp) Fill in the verification records before work and after work Attending daily meetings Recieving samples from clients and registering them to SAP before starting any analysis including sampling Doing sample preparations and analyse samples Reporting samples of every batch to the systems using LIMS Doing 5S And filling the verification records. I have learned that one team perform good results that individuals it is good to work as a team and communication is very important I enjoyed working in the lab and experiencing what I've been doing at school theoretically

Everday is an adventure

Working with a diverse group of people, you learn something everyday. In a customer facing environment no two days are the same. Time management is very important to get through all your commitments. KPI trackers are daily motivators to succeed and reach targets.

Excellent Learning curve in the Fmcg

On a daily basis i cold call on different outlets, from your local taverns to your key accounts. I get to communicate with my fellow colleagues with what is going on lately in the industry, what are competitors doing in other trades and so on, i learnt to be strategic in this industry and to always be on time when it comes to delivering since time is very much important in this industry, i love being challenged and resolving issues. And i learnt that sometimes being persistant can get you a lot of great things.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth and exposure in the work industry
Cons: Customers can be stressful and harsh unnecessarily

Excellent learning curve

They've provided excellent learning curves, flexible working hours and a company culture that's relaxed, encouraging and rewarding of great performers.

Pros: Flexible working hours
Cons: Not much room or opportunities for growth are available currently and rumours of retrenchments has everyone panicking currently

Excellent TTL brand experiece working on global brands

I have been very fortuneate to have been employed by Distell for 18 years. At Distell I had the opportunity and exposure by working across all categories eg Wine, Sparkling / MCC, Cider, Whisky and Brandy. Not only do you get to develop strategies, brand plans with a TTL approach you also get to be accountable. To be measured on a brand s performance from innovation through to execution in market with sales teams allow you to grow as a marketeer, something I will always treasure. You have to work cross functional on a daily basis with Innovation teams, Project managers, Supply Chain, design agencies. It is important have build relationships with all stakeholders involved to ensure you can deliver. What I enjoy most is to have structure, working on Global brands and learning every day. My working hours are 830 till 16h30 but the focus is output driven. I do from time to time have to work late nights, early mornings etc but that comes with the jobs to ensure we deluver on deadlines.

Excellent Learning

-It's an interesting company to work for, it is very competitive and challenging, -I am a team player, I am able to work understand pressure and with or what ithout any supervision I still deliver my best - I enjoy most of when my colleagues ask me oh how to do things or implement or how to use our working tools /apps because I like taking responsibility and leading
