It's a great company that offers a great if not greater exposure for upcoming engineers and othe field of work that offered me an opportunity to grow and I grasped as much knowledge as I could

Maintenance and Operation of LV and HV Networks upto 132kV. Finance and Budgeting, Fleet and Store
Good company to work for, but company name tainted by corruption and maladministration at senior management level due to tenders and irregular expenditure committed through tenders and projects.Other than that very good company to work for and to gain experience.Company trains its people very well and generally field workers are overworked especially Distribution even though media portrays company as'bloated'.
Pros: Multi skilling because I work with a variety of department where I learn from each one, e.g Material management, Finance Dept, DC, Switchgea, Transformers Dept Protection, HR and IR Asset Creation for Projects.
Cons: Workload high and very lsmall staff compliment

My growth
Working at Eskom is reserved, chilled but overall mentally stimulating. One can expand as a fitter, grow not only in skill but in the pride of ones work when it's done to spec in the most efficient way

Good organization with eperienced engineers
it is interesting i work with different discipline of engineering, i am based in process engineering department , my role is to do everything that need process engineering on a certain unit, to improve efficiency , investigate problems and also give advice where i can. from last year until now i had an experienced mentor who helped me to grow and improve my skills , the company also contribute to my growth as they take me to courses that improved my skills as an engineer

Safety and results orientated
I meet new challenges daily. More focused on safety of employees and results to customers llef. As a professional technician I exercise my knowledge and experience in my section effectively. Project management is also demonstrated on most activities that I come across., thus includes situations where external departments are involved like Road Agenvies or municipalities.

Good place to start your career
It was fun working with people that are willing to to an extra mile to they me Up to speed with the working environment. I got involved in every opportunity I came across and I would enjoy solving problems all day

Excellent learning
I learned alot at eskom cpm mthatha we were doing the following maintenance, commissioning, fault finding, assembling and troubleshooting to these departments metering, telecontrol and protection.

Excellent learning curve
The relationship between me and my colleagues was god's I have good communication skills and I have learnt how to respect , communicating with customers and house keeping. I enjoyed the experience that I got and working with my colleagues,the challenging aspect is when a customer is always right

Excellent
Great working environment. All employees are super cool and work hand in hand with each other. I have learnt to be discipline and loving my job. I enjoy seeing the great things that Engineers makes in their do to save the country and its people. Making sure everyone has power at all the time. kdksks
