Hollard Insurance Reviews

The company has a great culture implemented with its staff in mind

Working at Hollard has been a great learning experience. What started as a short term way to make money while studying turned out to be a great opportunity to learn and grow in the workplace. Hollard is a company that believes in individual growth and enrichment, it is because of this that I was able to grow and move to different positions in the company in the two years I was there. Hollard provides a great working environment for its staff with a great balance of work and a bit of play. The culture of the company is laid back yet firm, management believes in keeping employees happy as a way to increase productivity. My time at Hollard has truly been an adventure and a great learning experience, I would recommend anyone to join Hollard

Pros: Opportunity for growth
Cons: Late shift ends at 8pm so transport could be a problem

What does "enter your review title" mean?

Very loud and undisciplined - from management (not all of course) down to tea ladies, cleaners and canteen staff. If you like that type of environment, then it's heaven working here.

Pros: Attractive campus set on a mountainside.
Cons: Loud, loud, loud company. No noise sensitivity here at all.

Excellent learning curve

The promotional packages to employees are confusing because as a team leader you are below the area manager and in actuall fact we expect the packages to be totally different. so I will say that was my downfall within the company because I started as a team leader, applied for the area managerial position got it after six months it was confusing because I had to step doen as an area manager.

Pros: Great opportunies but not in writing
Cons: Not enough time to details

Experience

I have learned a lot from this company from my co-workers. When I joined the company, the only person who was working at branch resigned. I was all alone in the big sea, I had to depend to co-workers at other branches for help as I was new. The fact that I didn't finish my training due the passing of my son made things worse. I have to learn fast and being the only employee in branch I had lot on my shoulders. I am happy I went through that, because today I am a better person and I can everything on my own and learned how to do administration work and also manage field team. I am working as a second in charge. I have everything that is happening in this branch. I also enjoyed sharing my knowledge with new employees. I have learned a lot dealing with different customers. I have learned to handle angry customers and also customers who have lost their loved ones.

Pros: Great opportunity for learning and meeting new people
Cons: Having to explain to beneficiaries that waiting periods are not completed
