Lessons learned

With Lewis Stores being my first official job, I haven't really had much experience of what is expected at a workplace. At first, I was appointed as a Porter,my duties was helping the Driver with deliveries and keeping the shop clean and that was it. Not more than five months later the Driver resigned and I had to step in. That was the moment I felt like I needed to prove myself, to show that I'm a hard worker. I was only 18 at the time and working with adults who have had much more experience than you, was proving to be a challenge at the time. I was working alone for months before they finally appointed someone to help me. After a year I was promoted to the Driver. What I enjoy most about working at Lewis Stores was interacting with clients. Some invited me into their homes and some wouldn't let me even enter their front gate. It's also where I've come to realise the good and the bad that one can expect at a workplace.

Motivated and strong leadership II

I am in complience with policy and componies procedures at all costs. The govenment laws and regulations i always abide with e. g labour relations and conditions of employment

IAM GOOD AT ANYLISING AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS

IAM A GOOD TEAM LEADER WILLING TO WORK UNDER CERCUMSTANCES OR WORKLOAD IAM A GOOD COMMUNICATOR I LEARNT TO ENGAGE MY SELF INTO OTHER PEOPLES VIEWS SO TO GAIN MORE KNOWLEDGE I ENJOY COMMUNICATING WITH PEOPLE MAKING FRIENDS AND TEAM MATES I HAVENT FOUND ANY CHALLENGES IN MY CURRENT JOB BECAUSE I KNOW WHEN TO SHUT UP

Experience with the company

my day start at 7:30,open the shop and start to prepare for the day ahead.at 8 when the staff arrive we srart with the meering where i take commitment and tjen i give the credit staff qjats needed to be done for the day.my relationship with the tje staff is cery good , they enjoy working with me and i do too. I have learnt tje perseverence is key and communication.team work os what i enjoy most and reaching the target set for the montj.. yhe most challenging thing is getting people to pay tjeir accounts in time

Pros: The company always consider internap first before advertising. Like myself i started as a debtors clerk then was promoted to be a training manager withi a year. Four months after that i was promoted to be a branch manager until now.
Cons: As a manager you the fist one to arrive and the last one. And during festive season there are extended hours and no day off.

Good

I am a team player, couch, leader, teacher more over the Manager with qualities .i have always working on staff development and skills training for my staff members so that infuture the company should have acsess to promote wethin that will always help in staff debvelopments and promotions.i always be firm in conduting desipline in work place in order to maintain progress and profit making brand

Leaning curve

Um punctual and honest individual and also respectful. Go along with my staff but hate dishonest people...Hardworking and self motivated individual.

Handling pressure and working with plan.

learn with the company is that i can handle pressure and again I can even work without any supervision,it made me understand responsibility and to be passionate with what I am doing on a daily basis.The most important thing is that i can work with team very well.i

Learning curve

Lewis is a good company but does not pay well. Yes there is benefits atnd bonus. There is no growth in company. We don't close end of year you must take leave. Lewis is situated in Woodstock transport is a every day struggle with trains always late. Staff not really friendly.

Pros: no growth in company
Cons: normal 5 day week job

Good in further learning excellent learning course

had great experience in company did, cash collection, banking, cash up, petty cash, opening credit on new accounts and follow up on credit accounts. also work at switchboard taking calls massages.

Pros: have great experience as manager second incharge
Cons: did lots of work as clerk also dealing with heavy cash in busy environment.

Excellent learning curve

Good company to work foreorkibg at Lewis stores is a great opportunity for me. U learn a lot of things and it has more staff that is willing to help u in order to do your job well. A good company to work for.
