My current working environment
I provide financial advising to individuals and corporates do the financial need analysis and provide appropriate solutions. I identify prospects and build client base, maintain customer relationship and achieve performance targets. My business background before I moved into financial planning. I have over 10 years’ experience of working in a business environment, dealing with clients and advising them in terms of analytical services that offered. My previous experience is certainly helping me in my present profession as a financial adviser. In my previous experience, I was dealing with a number of compliance issues in a regulated environment, which helps me now a great deal because compliance is my norm. I can’t do without it. There are rules and regulations that I have to comply with and maintain a high standard of customer service and business ethics in the financial industry. I have vast experience in performance management and improvement.

What I enjoy most
I enjoy interacting with the FAs and IFA to assist in securing new business. These interactions include client facing meetings, IFA one on ones, member meetings, all to secure the new business as well as to ensure the financial freedom of the end customer ( employer and employees). This will assist the staff to enjoy retirement and risk benefits and to assist the employer to cater for unplanned expenses, to reduce the social moral and financial pressure brought about by claims. I enjoy the presentations as well as the interaction with the staff employer and the IFAs in securing and maintaining the relationship. I also enjoy training the IFAs regarding the product the features benefits salient points and selling to the end client and maintaining long term relationship. I also enjoy imparting my experience to younger new up and coming staff and IFAs, in most cases the millennials.

Personal development in corporate governance
I am a Fund Liaison Manager/ Fund Board Secretary for 3 years with Liberty Group. I manage the relationship between the Funds' Board of Management (comprising of 5 sub-committees) and Liberty as the Sponsor. I have more than 12 years’ experience in employee benefits administration of retirement funds. In addition, I have 4 years risk and compliance experience within this same environment. Internally I acquired a yellow belt level skill in lean six sigma methodologies (process improvement) and Global Leadership Foundation Programme. I am currently studying towards Corporate Governance with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS) and have acquired the Professional Advanced Qualification: Governance and Administration (NQF 7). Calculation knowledge. Working on the excel and able to provide reports.
My job is to provide feedback to our stakeholders within agree SLA. We managed portfolios, track performances and provide claims amounts. I am also responsible to verify if insurance legislations are correctly applied in case of payments.

Liberty Life is a huge company and there is more career opportunities
I am currently working at Liberty Life as Branch Secretary for 2 Branches. My typical day at work is making sure that all Financial Advisers needs are met as I need to support and support them 100 percent without fail. I have excellent relationship with my co-workers, the challenging aspect is trying to satisfy everyone's needs and there are difficult Financial Advisers in the group and I must be able to deal with difficult people. In most time I enjoy my current job and one thing I enjoy most is organising and planning office events.

Work experience.
I'm a hard worker, been in sales since 2009 I have my re exams currently completing my nqf. I'm a mother of 3 live in Chatsworth. I have my own vehicle with a valid drivers license. My company is good just management has issues looking for better ventures,I have an excellent relationship with co workers. The thing I enjoy most is meeting people changing their views and the flexibility of the job. I have been in the bond sector at bondchoice, nedbank mortgage also have been employed at bidvest financial services.

Good comminicator
it was good experience working at liberty as I was doing unclaimed benefit, it was challenging on some days since you needed to reach your target and thither hand you need to reply to clients and brokers on mails. it was good team work because if your not at your desk and a client call someone from the team was gonna resolve the quarry on your behalf and leaner quite a lot of things like how to handle aggressive customer and behaving in a professional way.
