I am working as an Assistant Planner placing orders, capturing works orders and waybill creating.
Mining company that is known as a third producer of platinum in South Africa. The company is divided with divisions which makes it easier for employees to cope and like their jobs. It is also good and nice to work for Lonmin because we get bonuses though it is on production wise.
Pros: Thre is great opprtunity for promotion as they ahve the ability to train the employees and pay their fees from outside institutions as well

Safety is our Goal.
Issuing Work permits and do Risk assessments for Level 4/Admin/Training Center and in and around the Lonmin Premises. Maintenance Inspections at Level 4/Training center/Admin/Soccer Field/Explosive store and Helli pad, in and around the Lonmin premises. Maintaining all maintenance to be done in Level4/Admin/Training centre/change houses/and around the Lonmin perimeters Assisting supervising the Garden Services Erecting of Signs/Notice boards/Fire Hydrants/doors/Cupboards in Level 4/Admin/Training center and around the Lonmin Premises Assisting in the boiler houses Repairs/Maintenance to the Drills/Welding machines/grinding machines. Check and maintain the canteen and waste transport. Check and maintain the car ports. Assist with water leakage and repairing to the pipes.

Difficult to break through ro dayshift role
Work as a shift foreman . Report to General foreman and superintemdent and manager. Shift report and alignment of team a challenge. Implemntation of all strategies are at my level and some are not clear. Technology used at this company is world class. i have learnt to supervise and handle team ,process control and inforce complience to safety rules.

Consultant Payroll
I am managing a team of 10, 2 Supervisors and the rest are Administrators. I am a team player, motivated and a go getter. I can turn a bad situation into a better situation. Service delivery, making sure my clients are happy is my middle name. I have learned in my career that I am here because of my clients and I have to make them happy so that I can be happy. I enjoy mostly challenges that makes me think and want the best results all the time. The most challenging aspect of my job is to make sure you are pay on time an accurately, that makes me be on my toes all the time. Safety is one of the major things that can cause problems at work. Our motto is to be safe all the time. Safety first and then you can proceed with your job. Our employees are paid bonuses just for being safe and working safe all the time

Seeing things from other people's perspective makes one learn new things everyday. I am a team player and I enjoying discussing burning issues with my colleagues, and I enjoy accomplishing projects on a deadline.

Good and hard working.
My work day starts at 06h00 with a department meeting where various aspects regarding the day are discussed, such as safety talk topic, feedback on company related issues and work for the day. and feedback on previous jobs and break downs. The we go and start are activities for the day which ends at 15h00. My relationship with co-workers are very good and we help each other on big jobs and look out for one another regarding safety and hazards. I have learnt that to be honest in every aspect helps good working relationship between co-workers and management tremendously. I enjoy it most when a job is completed quickly, safely and with great satisfaction to worker and management. It is most challenging to get high plant running hours and no breakdowns due to good maintenance work.

Excellent for exposure
It is a good company to work for I get along well with everybody including management My co-workers makes the day seem short, they are good team players. I get Guidance and coaching from management I enjoy working with people and I like the way Management runs this company

Oppotunity
Weekly report performance per week. Capturing the data and plotting . I give Monthly planning direction and expected value of the area they want to establish. Underground visit which is PTO done, including the assessment and pre-ledge inspection or face, Evaluation before they start to blast and submit the report to other department regarding or information around that working place to give them go adhered. Monthly evaluation which will determine the payment of the bonuses, by doing that is to observe or measure their performance. Supervisor give order to which places need attention after my evaluation is complete. Relationship with my co-workers is depending on how they performed at work including their attendance, Behaviour, trust worthy, others. We put the company, production, and us, make sure we don't mess daily production. Develop me ( computer, Management courses and Qualification on MRM.I enjoy to be at work doing my daily work.

Good learning environment
Working here makes me feel at home, good employer, customer care orientated, learning curve for me as I want to peruse occupational health nursing course and primary health. For a newly qualified the challenges are big but the support I get from coleaques make life easier for me.
Pros: Normal working hours, not standing for long time,
Cons: Less Career development especially if you do not have any degree or diplomas
