Great learning experience
My current company has a great working culture. The people are amazing to work with and are always ready to part with their knowledge. There is no typical work day in my life as my tasks vary from day to day. As a Business Analyst, my day is one of constant learning, from facilitating JAD sessions to supporting projects i implemented. I have a fantastic relationship with my co-workers and the people i service. I always ensure the relationship is fruitful so that it makes working together effortless. The most challenging aspect about my job is being able to remain professional when dealing with difficult clients. This has taught me that i have a strong personality and i always have my eye on the ball. I have had the privilege of implementing systems i knew nothing about and in the process had to learn them. This made it easier for me to become a subject matter expert in them. I love learning new systems.

Great opportunities to learn new Technology
Working for my company is challenging yet fun. The culture is amazing and there are a lot of people always willing to help you boost your knowledge in your subject space. There is no typical work day for me as there are different things to do on different days. This means everyday is an opportunity to learn something new. I have a great relationship with my co-workers that makes it easy to collaborate. We work and play hard and most importantly learn from each other. The challenging aspect of my job is that the pressure is quite high and delivery of quality results is non negotiable. On the flip side, this is also an exciting aspect as you constantly challenge and improve your capabilities.
Pros: We get well compensated for the hard work we put in

Great experience gained as a graduate at Massmart
At work we used to start working at 09h00, if we are at a client we arrived a bit earlier than normal and do what we went there for. The culture in the office was relaxed and the people were the happiest. My co-workers were very friendly and always willing to help if one requires their help. They always brought their big smiles to work. I have gained all the auditing and retail experience from this company in just a year. My communication skills have improved drastically as I was required to communicate with clients both verbally and in a written form. I enjoyed meeting and working with all the different clients that I have met during my time at the company. The most challenging aspect of the job was dealing with rude clients.

Most outstanding experience
Controlling the expense s of the company and schedule the team according to the business needs.Reduce shrinkage as much as possible and motivating the where they lack.I for the company of this magnitude it was such beautiful mile.Team work which make every one s job so easy. I mostly enjoy doing those attractive merchandise where you to show case your skill.
Pros: Most promotes when I was given to open a new store within given time frame.
Cons: Due to stock take and visits of directors and share holder s we work till we drop,to achieve the most reward of the most clean store

Attention to detail team player
I am a highly motivated, exceptional individual, with experience in payroll, payroll finance, and employee benefits. My experience in these different areas is one of my key attributes that enabled me to succeed in my roles in meeting business objectives. I am currently employed as a Payroll Officer for a large retail group. I process payroll monthly and weekly payrolls for our chains ensuring that payroll is accurate; deadlines are met according to policies and procedures. I am currently studying Payroll Diploma which I will complete at the end of 2016. I have worked on multiple payroll and HR Systems including VIP People. My experience in a Shared service environment has sharpened my skills tremendously as I work with multiple entities that are governed by different policies. An excellent company with new challenges everyday.
Volumes of work is very high due to the size of the company. There are many new recruits, casual workers due to the large number of stores. I have had the opportunity to work within the SA stores as well as outside of Africa which was most interesting, working with different people from different backgrounds. The merchandising department has given me great insight into different products that suit people in other countries and in turn what products work for South Africans. I thoroughly enjoyed the HR field as I had lots of constant contact with co-workers and colleagues. Different staff issues and pay and benefit structures. I have gained immense knowledge regarding the differences between the many levels of employment. The difference between permanent and casual staff, and staff working during weekends etc. I look forward to applying my knowledge and skills in other work environments.

Great stepping stone for a career
My typical day at work starts at 7:00 with me pulling and analyzing the previous day’s sales and different store performance, stock holding on KVI lines and promotional items. Then informing my team about what to look out for and ways we can pick up our socks to do better in terms of stock holding. Assisting stores with different queries, placing orders for my portfolio and meeting with suppliers to discuss further deals and promotions. General dispo maintance for both the system we use and the website. My team is made up of 11 people this includes the department director and merchandise managers . I came in the company through a Graduate program and all my knowledge in retail and buying I have learned from my team and the different programs they have put me on to expand my knowledge of the buying function and it’s role in any organization. Most challenging aspect of my Job would be system malfunction and missed communication from head office to the stores.

Have learned to interact with people and has improved on my morals and living standards.
It was an interesting job since I met with different people on a daily basis. It was a privilege to work at this company as they have diversified cultures where you learn about them as well. I had a very good relationship with my fellow workers and have learned how to approach people. I remember one day at Builders warehouse in Boksburg , I accidentally interviewed a staff worker because he had his uniform washed. He told me that Massmart should hire me just to greet people and pay me R50 000. That was just to show how well I approached him. The challenge faced with this job is that sometimes you get people not in a mood to talk or going through a bad day, so they may end up not talking good to you.
Pros: Great opportunity for promotion and also learn to work with people thus in a team.
Cons: Tiring as you have to move around the whole store.

Co good corporate infrastructure
Good co to work for but has unrealistic views of financial targets based on financial market trends Buying office unfortunately does not compete on price level and leaves feet outside sales doirs
