Excellent learning curve
Working at Media24 has allowed me to broader my spectrum of knowledge in the marketing field. From organizing photo shoots to running social media accounts, my internship has been a great experience and has got me even more eager to learn new things and expand my knowledge and abilities.

Enjoy working for the company, great benefits
I love working for this company, but I have realise when you work too long for 1 department, you get to know your line manager's behaviour which changes radically when your views and that of your line manager's is not the same and that can put a toll on the relationship, although it does not directly affect you, you can see behaviours change when other staff members are involved. so for me personally if I could do this over again I will just work for 5 years in a department and then move to another dept.
Pros: at the moment there is no opportunity for growth
Cons: working hours is great, but I have to fill in for receptionist when she is not here and work here hours, where as I can leave earlier than usual.

Daily duties
Rewrite stories for the magazines. Sub copy, write headlines and captions. Proof read pages. Effect changes where necessary. Suggest story ideas and pictures. My relationship with co-workers is good because I am always in constant communication with them regarding story updates or when changing page layouts. What I have learnt is how a magazine operates because I spent most of my working life at newspapers. What I enjoy most is the light stories and giving fun twist on stories. The challenge is that approval of pages lies with one person - the editor. And this often delays the production, making us not to meet deadlines at times.

Yes it's great company to work for
There is alot of benefits learning alot Ensure all claims are matched within frame period. All claims must be matched accurately Credit request to reach Phumzile on Wednesday and Fridays by end of business. Follow up on outstanding claims, Evidence – Outcome in a form of a report to be submitted to the Team Leader, Contingency and Development. Ensure that all processes are known and familiar for, when someone goes on leave or falls sick or resign, that the workload can be carried and productivity don't drop. This will also ensure that development of staff will happen and that other positions within the department or company can be pursued. Store Retailer documentation electronically. Store any documentation received from OTD branches. Ensure backups are done and saved on the finance shared drive – Shoprite. Values and culture. Acts with respect, integrity, courage and accountability and helps to build the Media24 Way Uses at least 8 hours' Volunteers24 leave per year

Seeking a challenge different environment
I am currently seeking a challenge from my current position . I did call centre work for about 10 years. I then moved into Finance for call centre ,and working for about 5 years in Finance Mostly admin system work . Dealing with vendor registration on behalf of Media24 .

I'm all about Good work
I Design and layout of pages, marketing material, pamphlets, emailers, social media assets and competitions. Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy, consistency and making sure it's repro and print ready. Matching sizes according to the various print/media requirements. Undertake artwork to the client’s brief and exacting/exceeding standards. Developed an effective working relationship with colleagues and client and provide excellent customer service. I Effectively managed workloads within agreed timescales and deadliness. I Look for ways to develop new fresh design ideas/trends within the guidelines, marketing and production opportunities. I Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the team

Very well and organised.
It is a great pleasure to work at Media 24, you have the ability to learn new things and every one is friendly. I get to learn a lot of new stuff and it is a very friendly environment.

Growth & Development
Long hours, demanding and deadlines are extremely tight with fewer headcount and greater demands Not a healthy environment to excel in going foward due to lower headcount, tighter deadlines and a corporate culture of the Execs thats not very transparrent and honest. Coworkers are an excellent hard working group of people but often politics brings people to forget that we need to act in the best interest of all stakeholders. I have enjoyed the special projects, SAP implementation and formation of the finance shared services centre.

Opportunity to do something different
There is a lot of work,eating at my desk to try finish my work. I enjoyed to be self managed Dealing very old contractors The co-workers are not united,they back stabber If there is an issue raised regarding work they pretend they are ok . The environment is not suitable if 1 has health challenges Having to suspend accounts due to our fault.
Pros: Down sizing of staff every 6 month
Cons: They implement things and not having a room for if it doesn't work what will happen.

Constant engagement
The company I currently work for is very forward thinking, constantly seeking out ways to improve productivity via digital awareness, staying on board with the latest trends and encouraging employee participation. We have a highly interactive team which participates fully in strategic planning and also nurtures relationships outside the formal work environment. I have learnt a lot about digital media, the fast paced news environment of the internet and surviving turbulent market conditions. I most enjoy interaction, innovation and learning opportunities offered by the company. The challenging aspects of my job is currently staying relevant as a company in a very fluid market environment.
