Excellent learning curve.
Diversity in roles. Poor working conditions. Disappointing incentives. Lack of trust in the organisation. Poor managers. Too much favouritism : some employees undervalued while others are overvalued. Nepotism.
Pros: High potential to succeed of processes are followed.
Cons: Too much reliance on one person to fulfill too many roles. Too much cost saving. Employees not valued.

Learnt new skills & improved my communication skills
A typical day at work is firstly communicating with my colleagues before proceeding with the tasks I have to complete. My colleagues are much more experienced in terms of the skills and understanding of the organisation therefore, I've learnt a great deal from them and have helped to improve my work ethic. My tasks at work are meeting with students to solve any complaint or struggle that they may be facing, this has been an incredible experience as it has allowed me to see and understand different personalities as well as thinking strategically to not only solve the problem at hand but also finding a long term solution. I have also learnt how to organize data, created new spread sheets that will be user friendly for others to use and data analysis on Microsoft Excel.
Pros: Improved communication skills, administrative skills and great co-workers
Cons: Not compensated for working over-time

Excellent learning curve
I learnt a few things while working at pearson institute of higher education. I learnt to keep time since i was expected to wake early in the morning and be at work on time. I had a good relationship with the co workers, they were very helpful they would help me with any work activity that was expected from me. I learnt to create a poster on which we could use as a form of communicating more with students of pearson. The challenges that i encountered was that i was expected to do all the tasks that were introduced per day thoguh i managed to pull through. The other challenge was getting to know my co workers and their weaknesses and accepting them as they are. I enjoyed most working and learning more and more each and every day .
Pros: work/life balance
Cons: long working hours

Excellent learning curve. Gaining experience. Gaining training
I have an excellent work ethic and prove to be very efficient in every job task handed to me. I take charge and always look for a way to improve and do better. The most challenging parts of work is working with difficult line managers who wants to employ candidates faster then necessary. Typical day at work would be sourcing candidates for a vacancy through Taleo system and start long listing and short listing. Finally getting through to screening and inviting candidates for interviews.
Pros: Flexible working hours
Cons: Restructuring

Development, Good company culture
We are a remote campus, based in Port Elizabeth, we have around 200 students and staff work closely together with each other. We have excellent relationships, everybody always willing to assist where they can. A typical work day- most staff start at 08h00, I have an academic support class with first year students, after class i'll be attending meetings , doing some filing, dealing with student queries if any arise, printing of transcripts. I've grown tremendously within the company, my managers have trust in me they are the ones who saw potential in me, by making me run training and induction with all new students, I have a really strong bond with our students.
Pros: Close working relationships
Cons: Salary

Excellent learning curve
The Higher Education Consultant has monthly targets where they need to register students who are currently in grade 12 from different schools around the Port Elizabeth area and outside. we also have administration days where we have to load students on the sales force. We even organise outreaches where we visit schools and meet with parents so that we register students for the following year and secure a place in our campus.
Pros: The incentives you get when you reach target
Cons: The consequences of not reaching target
