I am working Mon- Fri from 8 to 4:30. In our organisation everyone we meet is colleague and my colleague are cosy. My communication and analytical skill has enhanced because on my daily basis i solve problem and i speak to the users. I have learnt to manage my emotion because i have been dealing with different personalities. I enjoyed working with people and solving problem.

Pros: Learning is not limited all the Intern everyone is given a chance to get exposure in available IT field
Cons: The organisation is currently in financial crisis the are retrenching

Great Environment

The SABC is an awesome place to work at, always meeting new people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The staff are hardworking and go the extra mile regardless of the circumstances they always give their best. The staff are all like one big family and encourage each other the always strive in the busy ever changing work environment. The most challenging part of the job was to meet last minute deadlines due to schedule changes but in the end team work always made things go as smoothly and easily as possible.

I’m looking for an opportunity where I can grow and enhance my skills.

Working at the SABC is very interesting, you get to meet a different person everyday. I work with the advertising systems where I monitor the airtime sales solution system, I work around a lot of people in my department and my relationship with my co-workers is always a professional yet fun one, Iv learnt a lot of patience and sense of urgency working here as our work is very interactive with clients. I can say my most challenging time was when we integrated the new system in 2016, it’s was very challenging as we were also responsible to train 40+ users who were not so accepting to the new changes of replacing a legacy system that has been there for the last 10+ years, I’m a peoples person so having to come here everyday and interact with people is my most favourite.

Vast areas of expansion.

A typical day at the office is anything from news gathering in front of your desktop to standing in front of a violent protest with rocks flying over your head and tyres bellowing out thick clouds of smoke. The co-workers here are great there's a great sense of team and working together towards a single goal. I have learnt that one has to be deliberate in any action that one is engaged in, particularly if one wishes to achieve a goal. I've also learnt the value of creating and maintaining contacts. I most enjoy the flexibility of the job. Most of my best work is produced or conceived in the AMs. The most challenging part of this job is remaining relevant to the viewership, creativity even after years and years on the job.

Excellent learning curve

Summary of myself: I am a very active, organised, responsible, determined and hardworking individual who is goal-orientated and has a vision for success. My strength includes working well under pressure, being a team player and mastering the art of time management. -I interact with all the employees in my department, as well as other departments. i contribute in sharing information, knowledge and just helping where i can. - So far i have learnt a lot about the procedure of tender projects and what is expected from an SCM practitioner and what you as the SCM practitioner expect from your potential suppliers. - i just enjoy interacting with everyone and learning so much everyday, especially the procedures and policies set for the department and the SCM procedures. -The most challenging part is when you have people who lack knowledge or information in how things are supposed to be done, that is time consuming, as i need to fix the problem before it is audited.

Pros: Good skills from the SCM procedures, policies. Time management, Good communication skills.
Cons: long working hours

Excellent learning opportunity

At the current moment I'm unemployed, however in my previous positions, I knew that when I'm entrusted with a task to do, I don't rest until I see to it that my superiors are happy with what I delivered at the end of the day, I do enjoy working with other people hand in hand to make sure at the end of the day not only clients but our employers Trust us. In my last position I enjoyed the challenge of having to reach a certain target, it was a thrill and the pressure what bad at first but soon I got the hang of things, I made top 2 by the end of each day, including getting negotiating lesson. I adapt easy at work and learning is not a problem for me. Your Truly

Dynamic and Progressive Leader with a deep rooted passion for working with people.

RE: Application for Senior Manager- Social Performance. My academic qualifications and senior managerial experience in strategic management and planning, communication, stakeholder management, public relations, operations management and management of public funds motivated me to apply for this post. I have strong leadership skills and I am highly professional when executing my duties My most recent formal role was at the SABC as Provincial General Manager for the SABC Limpopo province, a role I occupied for 5 years ending 31 December 2018. The role involved amongst others, Management of Operations; Strategic management and Leadership; Corporate Services ( HR & Legal); Internal and External communication; Stakeholder management; Financial Management (In line with PFMA, MFMA & Treasury Regulations), Project management and People management.

Good problem solving experience

The company is in a challenging space at the moment. However, I have worked hard as a team to improve financial controls and audit results. The audit results have improved from an adverse opinion to a qualified opinion except for historical issues on Irregular Expenditure. No single day is ever the same, but working on an aggressive process automation drive and driving operational efficiency. I also redesigned the budgeting and financial reporting process to better support decision making. I enjoy the challenge of turning around the organization and changing the culture towards capital allocation. I have learnt a lot about teamwork, the meaning of true grit when all the odds are against you. I have a very sound and good relationship with my co-workers.

Great opportunity of learning

My day at work is the best where I work well in a team, a team compromised of others with different skills sets is essential. At Sabc I have learnt to work under pressure by keeping myself calm and focus and try multitasking while being patient. Given an opportunity to act on different higher positions was the best experience of learning about leadership. Dealing with conflict between staff members is challenging where one must be smart in dealing with the situation.

New challenge

I was a financial officer and I have also worked as Arrear Accounts Administrator. Both roles entailed that I adhere to policies and procedures that I followed in terms of the corporation. As a high energetic and organised individual I always strive to provide accurate work and good communication.

Pros: SABC is one of the best employer to work for in terms of culture and employees benefits
Cons: Lack of personal development and growth
