Great opportunity of learning
My day at work is the best where I work well in a team, a team compromised of others with different skills sets is essential. At Sabc I have learnt to work under pressure by keeping myself calm and focus and try multitasking while being patient. Given an opportunity to act on different higher positions was the best experience of learning about leadership. Dealing with conflict between staff members is challenging where one must be smart in dealing with the situation.

Variety of opportunities
Working for international content acquisitions expised me to the international trends in varioys genres. Beung the one ti receive and watch screeners opened my eyes on various topics/challenges/lifestyle that are happening globally. I can easily adapt or interact with different kinds of people

Hard working person
My duty as a programme producer was to research and investigate story topics. I arrange interviews with sources and go and interview them which is a field work. I film the story with the help of a camera person.I come back to office offload my story and start writing a script.When the script is ready we edit the video and do voice overs.I also write subtitles for my story. I was mentored by Award winning journalist Hlubi Kulu from cutting Edge and Leihlo la Sechaba 's award winning journalist Dennis Tshehlane.

Excellent learning curve
Working at the SABC has been one of the highlights of my life , the working environment was amazing along with its people. I have learnt so much about what goes on behind the scenes of the biggest broadcasting channel in Africa.I was exposed to different clients and brands, what it means to represent a brand and how to handle yourself when working with big brands.What i enjoyed the most was the travelling and working with different sporting codes as i was working under SABC Sport marketing. The most challeging aspect was having to adapt to a fast moving working environment on a daily basis.

The Opportunity
As an employee at the SABC we are referred to as First Citizens because we have a mandate to our million of viewers and listeners to EDUACTE through our educational programs,INFORM through our news broadcasts and other current affairs programmes and ENTERTAIN through our 4 TV stations, 19 Radio stations. Being a first citizen at the SABC Mpumalanga office which is home to Ligwalagwala FM , with over 1 million listerners has inspired me to what to do better and be better for our community.

Learning exercise with different characters every day
I always look forward to go to my work place because it is an opportunity for me to make a difference to the people I work with and also contribute positively to the campany and help in achieving in its objectives . It is a place were a learn new things everyday and also for my development in my career.

Cons: At time it can be strenuous because of the long hours wr put in to chase targets
