I have worked on a number of special projects as per attached CV

SABC is a melting pot of diversity!! It is a true representation of our rainbow nation. My enjoy a good relation with my fellow co-workers as we always are there to assist one another. I have learnt a gret deal about television. The most challenging is deadlines and time management is key I am wanting to relaocate back to Jhb

Pros: Diversity
Cons: not enough room to grow

Excellent learning skills and technology

I am a hard working lady, who believes in the sharing of ideas. Whereas I am a very dedicated person, self-discipline, self-motivated and self-confidence. Working as a broadcast technician is very challenging, you need to be a hard worker, by doing preparations a day before production day. But what I enjoy the most about my job is that I learn new skills and technology each and every time. I really believe in the sharing of ideas with the colleagues, it helps when you are facing a problem and you are working alone.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotions
Cons: Long working hours, like more than 10 hours sometimes

Great learning opportunititiea

I have more than ten years broadcast experience, having worked as a current affairs Producer and Reporter for SABC's Umhlobo Wenene fm. We mostly dealt with human interest stories and I learnt to be sensitive regarding stories, or topics that are considered taboo in black communities. I have a national diploma in journalism and I am currently pursuing my post graduate studies with Wits Univeristy. We were given career development opportunities by being sent to training and workshops now and then. Which is why I believe that coupled with my vast experience will come in handy in full filling all the required tasks of any media position

Pros: Great opportunity for learning
Cons: There were long hours at times, but we would be reimbursed

Learning curve, diverse people, challenging but somehow fulfilling,

Challenging but good experiences . Robust and fulfilling engagements. Senior executives can do better; Corporate culture to improve . Some priorities need to be looked at. Improvement in staff morale should be one of the priorities

Pros: Getting to engage and network with different people; grow network circles

Very ambiguous. Loved every moment. Would not trade it for anything.

Work day consists of being around different people 8 hours of my day. Different personalities and different tempers. I can honestly say that was the most exciting. I love people. I loved my co workers. I especially got along with my Supervisor, he guided me in ways I could only ever dream of, and I always strive for better. I have learnt that patience and listening is very important when u have different people you report to.

Pros: Change of industry
Cons: specialized in ancertain field

Excellent learning curve, teaches accountability and also gave room for growth.

its a great company. We usually work shits and our normal working day starts at 6 in the morning. everyone is allocated their own raw individual raw footages to archive. we interact and share what we have seen on th enews to keep eachother abreast on what is happening on the news. our footage is archived according to the Standard operational procedures of the company. We have metadata that we use to desribe the footager that we see.
