Excellent learning curve

I have learnt so much from the sandf and used the opportunity wisely as I would like to look for greener pastures. I want to use my knowledge and challenge myself with something new. I work with people mostly as a procurement clerk and I love my job but working under pressure may be challenging sometimes. I enjoy my work so much, I love challenges.

Excellent learning curve

We like to do any task that is given to us and get it finished.Rispact is the key to work with lager group of people you give yours and we give it back.You can not build rome alone each day its challanging and out of it the is something that you lean out of a challenging day.I enjoy the communication we have with superior or sinior the solidatity we make is one strong thing.Preparations to any form of task or mission to have the right equipment and obviously on the place on time.

Wonderful growth experience, great exposure

It is a challenging post to work in and exposure to Personnel Management Training and Development. I have great interpersonal relationships with my fellow colleagues and have learnt to be patient and loyal confidence and handle pressure. I am very passionate about helping people with regards to HR matters as well as Office Administration matters.

Occupational Health and Safety Officer job security but reached the point.

My co - workers and I enjoy each other’s company as a work team. We do learn a lot from each other every day, due to the fact that OHS is a ever changing environment I enjoy implementation of new systems to better the work environment it is also the most challenging aspect of my job

Excellent learning curve

The Defense Force is an organisation whose culture is based on self discipline and mutual respect.The other way mutual respect is shown is by paying compliments to your seniors as in saluting or greeting. A typical day begins with roll call in the morning at 07:45 to check who is present.Then we go to our offices to work. My relationship with my co-workers is a good in that we are able to relate we are able to advice each other pertaining to work issues and when you ask for advice. I enjoy my work when strategic planning,budgeting for our organisation(unit),compiling of the budget ,writing Annual reports,Quarterly reports,monitoring and evaluating and risks reports. My most challenges is when departments submit reports that do not make sense at last minutes and i have figure out what they mean for me to write my reports on time and submit my budget on time. At the end of the day the work is done and on time which makes me happy to see i have succeeded.

HAVE WORKED WITH EXPERIENCED SUPERVISORS WHO ASSISTED ME MORE ON MY ARRIVAL IN ALL NEW ENVIRONMENTS.

ITS INTERSTING TO WORK IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE AS YOU GET EXPOSURE IN DIFFERENT IN DIVERSE ENVIRONMENTS. ALWAYS START A DAY WITH A SMALL CO-ORDINATION WITH SURBODINATES TO CONFIRM INCIDENTS OF THE PREVIOUS HOURS AND CHECK OCCURENCE BOOK IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT NEEDS MY ATTENTION. BRIEF TOP MANAGEMENT DURING THE MORNING CO-ORDINATING MEETINGS ABOUT INCIDENTS OR MATTERS THAT NEED ATTENTION AND POSSIBLE SECURITY RISKS IDENTIFIED. HAVE GOOD INTERACTION WITH EVERYBODY IN THE ENVIRONMENT AS MY POST DEMANDS THAT CHARACTER. I LEARNT TO UNDERSTAND THAT ALL PEOPLE MUST BE TREATED EQUAL, FAIRLY AND WITH RESPECT. ENJOY GATHERING INFORMATION ABOUT SECURITY ISSUES AND PRESENT TO THE WHOLE BRANCH. CHALLENGES IS WHEN I RECOMMEND ALL SECURITY EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS THAT NEED TO BE PURCHASED AND PRESENT TO TOP MANAGEMENT, MAKE MOTIVATIONS BUT FINALLY NOT APPROVED DUE TO BUDGET.

Pros: THERE ARE GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROMOTIONS AS THE POLICIES ENCOURAGE THAT.
Cons: AT TIMES IT HAPPEN THAT I HAVE TO WORK LONG HOURS OR COME AT WORK AT INCONVENIENT TIME DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES NEEDING MY ATTENTION.
