HAVE WORKED WITH EXPERIENCED SUPERVISORS WHO ASSISTED ME MORE ON MY ARRIVAL IN ALL NEW ENVIRONMENTS.
ITS INTERSTING TO WORK IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE AS YOU GET EXPOSURE IN DIFFERENT IN DIVERSE ENVIRONMENTS. ALWAYS START A DAY WITH A SMALL CO-ORDINATION WITH SURBODINATES TO CONFIRM INCIDENTS OF THE PREVIOUS HOURS AND CHECK OCCURENCE BOOK IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT NEEDS MY ATTENTION. BRIEF TOP MANAGEMENT DURING THE MORNING CO-ORDINATING MEETINGS ABOUT INCIDENTS OR MATTERS THAT NEED ATTENTION AND POSSIBLE SECURITY RISKS IDENTIFIED. HAVE GOOD INTERACTION WITH EVERYBODY IN THE ENVIRONMENT AS MY POST DEMANDS THAT CHARACTER. I LEARNT TO UNDERSTAND THAT ALL PEOPLE MUST BE TREATED EQUAL, FAIRLY AND WITH RESPECT. ENJOY GATHERING INFORMATION ABOUT SECURITY ISSUES AND PRESENT TO THE WHOLE BRANCH. CHALLENGES IS WHEN I RECOMMEND ALL SECURITY EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS THAT NEED TO BE PURCHASED AND PRESENT TO TOP MANAGEMENT, MAKE MOTIVATIONS BUT FINALLY NOT APPROVED DUE TO BUDGET.
Pros: THERE ARE GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROMOTIONS AS THE POLICIES ENCOURAGE THAT.
Cons: AT TIMES IT HAPPEN THAT I HAVE TO WORK LONG HOURS OR COME AT WORK AT INCONVENIENT TIME DUE TO SECURITY ISSUES NEEDING MY ATTENTION.

Excellent
I learnt a lot of discipline, manners, leadership skills, travelled countrywide, learnt lot of skills, i had fun but the problem was the contract that had to expire due to the department financial problems

Possibilities that the mind brings
Being in this organization started as a voluntary work where I pledged to serve and defend the country. It was about them at first unknowingly that it was just a blessing in disguise. It changed the way I see things. Discipline n respect is what make a person. Everything that one does is associated with discipline, one is supposed to wake up early in the morning and complete matters that concerns personal hygiene. As a day goes on one just adhere and obeys the commands. I realized that nothing is impossible until one tells themselves that it is. The training was one examples of possibilities because it was the hardest part of the training. My body was able to take everything that the mind tells it to do after I gave up on it and focused on the mind that I can do it. Negativity is just in the mind of people, if one get rid of the negativities they have in their minds then the positivity’s will occupy their minds and they will see possibilities in their lives.

Cons: The right to life does not exist

Excellent learning curve
Iam a fast learner work perfectly with people whether it a group or individually, I'm a good problem solver I work delegently and with zeal. Even though I work in an industry with alot of people and some difficult I still manage to produce results. I have learnt to be patient around people and in order to meet goals one needs to work passionately.

am a 36 years old Fire and Rescue Officer and a qualified Safety Officer, working for the SANDF at SA Army Combat Training Centre with over 16 years of experience. My duties include management and administration in the Fire and Rescue Services, conducting Fire Safety Inspections, conducting Fire Safety Incident Investigations, writing Fire Safety Incident Reports and also attending Fire Safety meetings. I also work as an OHS coordinator responsible for overall OHS matters in the Fire and Rescue Services. Safety is my passion. Occupational Health and Safety Officer I have job security but I did reached the point
My co - workers and I enjoy each other’s company as a work team. We do learn a lot from each other every day, due to the fact that OHS is a ever changing environment I enjoy implementation of new systems to better the work environment it is also the most challenging aspect of my job

A great steping block for greater meaning
A typical day in my work enviroment is to make sure that al the instructions from higher HQ are executed on the ground level after it has been seen by my commander you have to work in a team to make sure an instruction has been done by the correct section in the unit it is sometimes very stressful to meet all the target dates
Pros: you get to develope your leadership skills
Cons: do not have a permanent income
