The work environment is really great the co workers are friendly everyone has respect for one another I've learnt to work as a team and learnt to encounter new challenges.I enjoyed working and helping clients in need of service.

Excellent learning curve

working for my company, it can be challenging in a sense that our main object is to deliver good and proper customer service and any under circumstances in dealing with most difficult client and to the most jolliest person at the end of the day is meeting customer satisfaction and drive to go an extra mile in making the client happy. my typical work day is doing what is expected from and try to enjoy at as changeling as it can be. i get along with all my colleagues, even under dispute i try to maintain peace at all time, i have learnt that i don't have to be offended with everything that is said to me, be it my colleagues or the clients i deal with everyday, meeting the customer's expectations. the most difficult thing about my job is dealing with customers that do have no respect for other people and i still need to deliver an excellent service despite the harsh treatment.

Pros: to extend my customer service as it is a day to day need
Cons: going an extra mile if need come to be

Review

I have been working at Santam for along time. It I a very good company but not in the department I have for. Things change on the regular which I don't mind, but mostly lateral moves are made with in the department with no salary increases as different work is being done. I am a bit tired of my surroundings and in need of some change of scenery. I want to meet new people and work well with them. Basically I need a new work family who appreciates me as I would them.

Pros: Great company to work for
Cons: Just not the best department I worked in

I am a Bcom Finance graduate.

I am a Bcom Finance graduate. I am looking to develop a specialist skill in this area and build a successful career. I feel that the finance department would be the ideal place for me to begin my career and to have my skills developed and I believe that I will be able to exploit my potential to the fullest ,thus I can be an excellent addition to your entity because of my enthusiasm, motivation and drive to make any opportunity I am granted with success of strong focus, dedication and hard work , I am a dynamic and committed team player who seeks to maximize learning from professional and social exposure, while contributing to the success of an organization. I believe I can handle working in high pressure environments while maintaining accurate, timely , high quality and quantity output.

Pros: Is good working for a huge company, it focused a person's to learn fast about high pressure environment.
Cons: What am currently doing is not related with what I studied.

Growth, great learning curve and lots of Client service.

My review is that, when you work for big companies like Santam, you learn how to be a team player and how to handle books of Debtors and Creditors. You learn everyday how to manage clients'and suppliers' bookkeeping and reconciliation.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth and you never stop learning.
Cons: Targets cause pressure and stress.

Dedicated hard working with excellent experience

 Handling telephone queries of intermediaries and clients laise with our contact center department , (PL, CL & Claims department)  Build relationships with intermediaries, contact centres, claims and all other relevant stakeholders  Follow up on outstanding issues/problems – underwriting, claims, etc.  Support with policy screening – forward to intermediaries for their comments  Signing of CPM schedules on-line when received from intermediaries  Preparation of documentation and stats needed for the Relationship Managers meeting with the intermediary.  Distributing circulars and info of interest to intermediaries  Attend to Walk in Clients  Office Support (ordering of stationery , Meeting setup, payment on invoices )  Assisting the Relationship Manager , managing his and her Diary and other Queries , booking of accommodation or any booking requirements )  CRM System, Mainframe,Guidewire . Policy Centre System.

Pros: Gain extensive experience
Cons: normal working hours

It has been a good learning curve

I have have learned lot in my current company. Now i know how to do Endorsements, Amendments, renewals, Issuing new policies, Cancellations, working on Kit and on all Tial. I have gained alot of experience.

Pros: getting as much as experience as possible
Cons: remaining in the same position

Excellent communication, exellent learning cuve, Team player

I am a FAIS Representative for a specialised division of Santam called Travel insurance Consultants and I have been occupying this position for two years. I closely work with specific medical aids, FNB and Capitec bank with regards to their travel insurance (underwriting guidelines and processing policies). The position includes rendering financial advice to clients and sales. I have an NQF level 4 in short term insurance with a 120 credits, a National Diploma in Public Relations Management (which included Media Studies, Business Management and Communication Science as major subjects). I have Good communication skills Maintain relationships with all stakeholders Paying attention to detail Problem solving skills and conflict resolution within the workplace I dedicate myself to my work and work well under pressure. I am passionate about events management, planning and working within a team. I know how to manage my time and I always try to grow a passion in everything I do and I am always learn

Telephone Consultant - Assist brokers telephonically with amendments - Capturing of amendments on Persitel / Policy Center - Renewal amendments - Request renewal schedules - E-mail amended policy schedules to brokers - Unpaid premiums - Debit order enquiries - Confirmation, border and cession letters - Cancellation of policies - Quotations - Handle e-mail amendments - Taking messages if necessary We work as a team. I have great relationships with all of my colleagues.

Pros: growth opportunity
Cons: Very stressful. Daily targets.

Team work

Good and growing company caring about employees, good values, friendly staff members, independence, I enjoy dealing with brokers, dealing with big books

Pros: maybe great opportunities, they hadn't been practical on my side
