Good from for public finance graduates

My careerer background
I am a member of the South African Police Services, working at the Detective Branch doing investigation of crime. I work under SVC (Serious and Violent Crimes) where we investigate crimes such as Murder, Armed/Business Robberies, Fraud, Cyber Crimes ect. Part of my duties is to attend court hearing to give evidence as well as to testify, do suspect tracing in and out of my province. I am very much passionate of what I do, good team player who able to take instruction and also give my input when is needed. I have completed Investigation Corse ROC (Resolving Of Crime) also have completed my NHC Forensic Investigation with University Of Johannesburg and I am busy with my BTech Forensic Investigation with UNISA.

Investigation and Policing :
Firstly stand parade and send dockets to court and assist other members with docket inspections.Draw profiles on outstanding suspects.Book out dockets to members.Attend court proceedings if needed.Investigate,trace and arrest outstanding suspects. Plan suspect raids to arrest all outstanding suspects. I assisted and helped other members where I could.
Pros: No promotion was a warrant officer for 17 years and that was why I resigned.
Cons: Sometimes.

Learning through others
I love to work in a challenging area where it requires a person to put more efforts and dig more information out of the box. What I like most is team work where you cannot go wrong, because of combined thoughts. I am someone who is deadline driven, my organisation is a busiest organisation, in terms of work load, therefore through pressure we still achieve. I have learnt to jot most important information in my diary for later reminder for instance if in a month we have to cover 10- 15 events it will work on our advantage to remember. I have learnt a lot on the functions of Video and Photo camera and to work effectively with them with being careful.

Attending to complaints and resolving them.
Typical work day Involves attending to complaints and resolving them if it can't be solved then someone gets arrested. I work on my toes, there's no luxury of relaxing as danger is always imminent. Efficacy in day-to-day operation is mandatory. Working relationship is awesome, at times pressure builds up and affects the way and manner in which superiors and colleagues displace frustrations on junior members but usually gets solved before the end of the day. I have Kearny that emotional intelligence, composure and alertness are key to survival and successful completion of tasks. I enjoy saving the day mostly. The most challenging aspect of the job is lacking tools of trade like guns, bullets, radios and cars.

Excellent communication skills
It is a very good company to work for, provided you are disciplined and motivated to work . The challenging thing is working with minimum resources e.g sharing a vehicle with 2 other investigators , 2 computers for 30 investigating officers .I enjoy making arrests and getting convictions.im a very friendly person my relationship with my co- workers it's very good we get along just fine.a typical day having to charge 5 suspects , visiting time scenes ,arranging fingerprints ,giving feedback to complainants and administration for that day.
