Starting a new career in occupational health and safety
Im a former police officer with 13yrs experience in policing...I'm currently studying ohs and I want to ga8n some experience in my new career.. I'm a hard worker and have received numerous awards including officer with most arrests as a policeman.. Some people just go to work...I actually go and do WORK..

Still studying a Btech degree in Public Management
Maintaining good realtions wih colleagues and clients by delivering an excellent service. Having a portfolio of diverse skills and knowledge. A solid educational and training foundation. An extensive experience of more than 16 years in the administration industry. Provide a very high level of client service based on oustandin communication, precision work & interpersonal skills.

It is hard and dangerous work
It very strainious and also traumatic work , when one prepares to go to work on daily basis the challeges facing him are very painful because there is no guarantee whether he will come back home to the family. But no option work must be carried out so that food can be put on table for the family.

Exciting and learning curve everyday.
i work for SAPS under the Hawks division in the management information and strategic planing component where by i deal with compiling/consolidating the performance reports and taking minutes in all management meetings and also to support members with technology systems. As part of the management i have learned to be more professional specially when communicating with my co-workers and stakeholders. sometimes it becomes a challenge to tell someone on a higher rank than me that the information submitted is incorrect but i really enjoy working with the bossess because all my hard work is seen and acknowledged.

No opportunity to go futher
Although you get a lot of courses and training in the long run you never get opportunity for promotion. There is so much discrimination and unfareness in the government sector. Lots of stress cause only few people really work the rest has to carry the load while others just sit around. No support from management the facilities is in a terrible state and very dirty some rat and cockroaches.

Excellent learning curve
You get an opportunity to engage with members in all ranks of the department.Confidence to speak to large groupsof people.Due to constraints you sometimes need to be innovative to get the job done.Its an opportunity to teach people about the law in its most elementary level to engaging with professionals on a more advanced level.

Punctual and attentive individual
