Great career oppourtunities if you willing to give your pound of flesh
Excellent company to work for if you are willing to work hard. If you want to start a career not a job, with prospects of vertical and lateral movement then Sasol Mining is the place to be. People are a core value to the company and they truly believe in investing in the people.
Pros: Good salaries, career prospects and job security
Cons: All work and no play, very autoctatic organisational structure, S1 style of managment still the predominant way of management

Working at Sasol mining
Working at Sasol mining gave me an opportunity to learn more about coal .Sasol is a big company that produces coal , petrol and etc. .The area that I am currently planning for is doing good in production . The machine availability is on the average of 97%.the machine run time is also good because of work management process 7 Steps namely :Identify , Prioritize , schedule , Plan , execute , Work feedback and Work Status Control The most challenging aspect is when the foreman plan the job and job execution is not done on time . Or when people identify problems on the equipment and report later when the equipment already failed I AM A HARD WORKING PERSON , I CAN WORK WITH GROUP OF PEOPLE , I BELEAVE IN PROBLEM SOLVING .

Cons: At sasol mining I am currently doing standby after hours . to organise cranes when needed or non stock materials when neded on breakdown

Know your people and their abilities to ensure desire work results. Training and again training
Early at work for daily preparations and instruction.daily instruction to workers beginning of day.follow up on work progress and problems during daily activities Always get inputs and ideas from your people doing the work and get correct discussions and implement give recognition to workers good production Work according to your planning and don't overspend your budget always stay in your budget Be trust worthy integrity must be high Always be good to your customers and clients Safety in work place no mistakes allowed Safety incidents investigation withing parameters of company safety time frame Know your peoples stabilises and apply it in work place Training people constantly to improve your safety and production Challenges in workplace is always workers safety and don't overspend to stay in businesses and have profits

Innovative and big company with lots of opportunities.
I am very hard working person with good communication skills and I have respect for my superiors, I am always willing to learn and I’m also willing to work overtime. I have electrical skills, hydraulic skills, mechanical skills and maintenance skills with a trade certificate and I always adhere to OHS Act.

Excellent learning curve
My life motto is to seek, strive and not yield. My enthusiasm for life, work and play ensures I give 100% input. As a result of working full-time, studying part-time, maintaining my hobbies and still have a healthy social life, I have the ability to excell under pressure, work independently as well as being a team player and manage my time effectively. Challenging yet great environment
Having studied Journalism & Media studies, my passion for Public relations and Communication has immensely improved as I have acquired expertise in two various fields/environment of work. Cascading information in a daily basis form part of my daily tasks, thus I have acquired skills in creating content for the internal newsletter, capturing events as they happen, press release statements, advising or give input on decisions that influence the reputation of the company etc. As part of my experience, I have worked in the Business Improvement/Intergration field where I have worked closely with leaders in the mining sector offering assistance in Work Scheduling for employees, creating content for weekly presentations for the managers, tracking actions of issues raised in engagements with workers, and being the middle man in team sessions that help increase productivity and morale in the business
