Goood learning Curve

Good learning curve and career development

I am a fast learner
I currently work as a Surveyor at sasol Mining under leadership of Frans Coetzee After discussing with Frans I have taken the advise to seek a different environment so that I get get equipped and develop on the route to attaining Mines Surveyor ticket.
Pros: I have learned a lot at sasol mining, dealing with characters both positive and negatives
Cons: we currently work 10 hours per day

Managing a services department
Managing a services department with a good mix of old machines and new ones has been really interesting and also a good learning curve. I enjoyed having to balance old and new technology as well as having to tap into the intellect of my very experienced subodinates. I was intrigued by the planning and having to revise maintence strategies, planning as well as having to geographically expand the current infrastructure capabilities. In short, I love being challenged and challenging those that I lead.

Stable career with a dignified opportunities to better one self.
Working at Sasol Mining is a great privilege, the company is well structured with loads of paths to lead to. The work is strenuous even when the supervisors try to support us it still feels like an hopeless case. Growth within my current position is limited and I feel like I've fallen into a routine on a daily basis. Work is work but routine with.no growth is.never the right way to settle into a career while there are so many opportunities available out there.

HR Practioner,
I provide a HR service to 1400 employees, for three shafts.I have a team of four HR Officers and one HR Administrator. at the beginning of the day;I also have a meeting with the stakeholders . The most challenging aspect of my job to apply some change management process and ensure that the system benefits the organization for the better and result to high morale and productivity.

Excellent learning curve
My life motto is to seek, strive and not yield. My enthusiasm for life, work and play ensures I give 100% input. As a result of working full-time, studying part-time, maintaining my hobbies and still have a healthy social life, I have the ability to excell under pressure, work independently as well as being a team player and manage my time effectively. Through my exposure to different orginizations and projects I have the ability to adapt to constant change and different environments and orginisational cultures. I believe in continuous personel development and therefore it is for me a great honour to apply for the advertised vacancy. I am keen on accepting new challenges and have tremendous tenacity and moral courage.

Excellent learning curve
I work both in the office environment and on site/s. when in the office, I deal mostly with drafting reports, procedures, ISO 14001 systems, reviewing reports, etc. On site work involves site inspections and audits. I work with all levels of the company (Top and low management levels e.g. Vice President to a General worker). I have an excellent relationship with all my colleagues and this is because of my humble and respectful nature. I have learnt that environmental issues are very broad and although I have grown my knowledge in a variety of environmental focus areas, I still have a lot to learn. The advantage I have is that I am a quick learner. I enjoy everything about my work, there are exciting challenges and opportunities every now and then. Most people are focused on running the core function of the business and thus they are just too busy to entertain environmental issues. Getting people to see the importance of environmental management and the need to be in compliance all the times is a challenge.
