Good reputation

Working at Smollan makes you understand how people shop and increases your ability to make possible sales as you are always responding to client/customer needs. We, at times create our own team building as we would partake on a planned event outside of work whilst building good relationships as co-workers. Challenges arise when you can see that based on your Line Manager it depends who the favour the most in order to offer growth.

Growth

I'm currently seeking opportunity to grow within what I had studied, which is Human Resources Management. I have experience in administration and retail as well. Working for Samsung and Eskom has really grounded me in the sense that ive learned to have a sense of urgency in everything I do, time management is key, I've come know that your passion for the work that you do shows in what has been presented and that there's is always room for growth np matter how many accomplishments one has. I feel as though I would be eligible the position as I am very passionate about human resources. It's not just about recruiting it's about helping people grow and find their passion as well and therefore plant that seed in order for them to grow as well. I look forward to your response.

Learning curve

My education and experience has given me a varied set of skills and the ability to work with many different types of people. I'm a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail.I'm flexible ,quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others.

I enjoy working with the company y and staff and i enjoy what i do so its awesome. I love meeting new people I've learnt alot.. I also like promotiingnee products its as much exciting for me.

Very frustrating management.

Pos: Company benefits and field work. Cons:The worst thing in my team was management. Managers had preferencial treatment over staff. In my team we were getting quaterly incentives, but we would not know how much we are getting as we were told it all depends on the client. Incentive payments would sometimes be late, sometimes little or large with no proper explanation of why. We were very busy as any other FMCG company but my leave applications were forever rejected by the company. I was very drained and exausted.

Global family company with global reach. Specialized GROUP functions aswell as FMCG employees within stores. Great family values and gain good experience

Good working environment

very busy work especial when its months end, my relationship with co workers is very good i learn each and everyday from customers i enjoy working with customer n interact with them. is to here every new things from customers.

Excellent learning curve

I enjoy working for Smollan as an Admin Assistant. We mainly work with deadlines, my emotional intelligence has improvement. We work as a team and there is a lot of pressure especially when the field managers do not submit on time and we have to sit and wait. the only challenging part is that we rely on field managers and merchandisers to provide us with feedback.

Cons: growth is slow
