Wonderful Learning oppurtunities

Working at Standard Bank can be tough but exciting. There are always new experiences every day and something new to learn. My typical day consists of a morning meeting, then assisting clients via phone or via email resolve any concerns or complaints they may have. Our department works well as a team and fully support each other. I have learnt so many things, and I am still learning every day. I love helping people and bringing a smile to our clients faces. The most challenging part of the job is when there is nothing that can be done legally for a client or when a client is abusive.

Exposure to various technologies

I have learnt a lot at Standard Bank Working with various application has given me exposure to multiple technologies. The working environment is very lively and vibrant. Working with people is great because you get to learn something from someone else, you can never know all the answers, so I have learnt that asking questions is very important. I enjoy working with people because everyone will bring a fresh perspective.

Excellent learning curve

Too much work to do less staff count. Which has a negative on the quality of work produced. Overall Standard Bank is a good company to work for. )hhhhhhhhhbbbbnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn+nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Challenging and exciting

I have learned a lot working for standard bank. In the past I actually convinced myself that i am not good working with numbers but working for standard bank changed it, balancing my till everyday is always a miracle as we all say, its a nerve racking process because you can either be be on a surplus or deficient, which is why its crucial to be vigilant at all times. We close the branch at 3:30 every day but most days we can be at the bank till 18:00pm. Working in teams is like everyday life. My co workers are very helpful and we make sure that we meet sales target on a daily basis. The customers are different in all ages. I've learned to be patient and assertive.

This has improved my character and great learnings of the industry.

Great benefits with regards to company offerings. I learned in my current position to really work under pressure from all stake holders,being the banker,the client and the insurer. So lots of self motivation and working greatly alone and as a team has strengthened.

Great opportunity

A typical work day includes us giving sales and that is not what the contract stipulates we can only give leads. Relationship with co-workers is a friendly one though we have our ups and downs sometimes. I have learnt that do what is expected of you and seek for help when needed. The most challenging aspects of the job is getting my till to balance at the end of the day with no differences and getting leads which will be converted into sales.

Pros: It is a great learning curve where you get to grow as an individual.
Cons: No room for growth.

It was a good learning curve

I loved working there as the hour were not long ,the stuff is friendly and management has an open door policy ,I loss learnt to work under pressure as it kept me on mi toes and in control,

Pros: they grow they people by giving a study loan to feather they studies
Cons: they take too long to convert to perment

Customer centricity ,sales person ,decision making and self starter

Checking your emails at 6:00 in the morning to make sure tat you didn't miss any important information from the previous day .Checking all your appontintments to make sure that everything is in order .Catch up with the AE to make sure that you are ready for the day .Come back to the office to catch upmon emails and make sure that you are ready for the next day .

Cons: Driving long hours

Great opportunity to grow

A very busy working enviroment, ability to resolve queries within turnaround time. ability to work independently and with teams without constant supervision. ability to deal with difficult and challenging customers and being able to keep my calm
