Excellent learning opportunity

Growth, customer care and development
Good in Balance sheet recons, journals, general ledger, depreciation processing, approving creditors payments and recons, approving cashbook entries and recons, developing staff members, good team player, doing performance assessments of staff members. Reliable, neat, timekeeper, obey the mission and visions of the company. Gained both internal and external respect. Provide good information to auditors. Doing EFT on business online.

Full kitchen management administration.
ACHIEVEMENTS On 21 July 2016, I was appointed to open a new a la carte Restaurant as from 1 August at Sun City Resort (crocodile sanctuary) as a Sous chef consultant. On the 10th of March 2017 I was appointed by Sun international Group Executive Chef to be part of the Sous chefs to open a new Casino and Hotel in Pretoria east called Sun Time Square Casino, Hotel and Entertainment world.
Pros: I am a hard-working, loyal and passionate young man who excels working long hours and under pressure. I always show great initiative and get along very well with my peers. I am always looking for way and opportunity to improve my circumstances, and myself looking forward with my culinary career. I have shown the capacity and desire to be a kitchen team player and going further with my studies to grow more within my career industry and explore more.

Life at the Boardwalk
The Boardwalk casino is a fairly good company to work for, the work that you do is structured, there are control measures in place and the company strives to adhere to Government policies on labour relations through various committees and engagement platforms. I have a good sound relationship with my fellow co-workers include business partners from various departments. Sun International and the Boardwalk has taught me to respect protocol in the workplace, the importance of team work especially in a Managerial or leaderships position, learning and development. I enjoy the family structure and working with the people. The challenge for me is not being able to plan ahead due to uncertainties and poor communication.

Cons: shift work, working on weekends and on public holidays

Customer Relations
I am working in a multi property made up of 1500 rooms. typical day includes 24hours deadlines turnaround to both internal and external clients feedback.
Pros: Getting to have experience in hotel industry, deriving from a five star to a 3 star. New challenges on a daily basis.
Cons: Difficult customers that drags the matter for longer period

I am willing to learn and develop myself in HR career.
I enjoy working for Sun International but there is no growth and development. The salary is not bad compared to the other casinos. I have qualification and I am busy obtaining more that is the reason I want to leave the Casino industry.
Pros: The is no development where I work. I've been doing the same job for almost 12 years no promotions.
Cons: I don't have problem working long hours.

Good day I am a 26 year old work seeker who is well organised and target driven; I am currently working as an HR Consultant for Sun International at the Golden Valley Casino responsible for the following: • Ensure Compliance to relevant SOP’s and regulation/ legislation e.g. conditions of gaming licence, policies, LRA, BCEA, EE and transformation, etc. • Represent HR department on disciplinary proceedings to ensure the right procedure is followed • Advise managers/ HOD’s in preparation for disciplinary hearings. • Implement HR related activities within the business unit • Compile action plans to deliver HR business objectives • Draft company policies
