Excellent learning and growth potential

Very dull environment with little motivation to reach one's highest aspirations.

- A typical work day Calls usually start from 8:00 but 90% of them all go to voicemails or the numbers are unavailable. When you eventually get to speak to a client, they either not interested or want a type of insurance we do not sell. The atmosphere is not conducive for breeding successful people as there's very little motivation, - Your relationship with co-workers I work with some of the best people i have ever had to work with in my life. - What you have learnt I have learnt to set very high standards for myself as that's the only way to true success. - What you enjoy most System issues. Unrealistic targets with very little input but a high expectation for output. - The most challenging aspects of the job Everything is a challenge as we have blunt tools which we are expected to use to reach the highest feats of success.

Excellent Learning opportunity

On a daily basis I deal with claims for and against our insured. On the recovery side I liaise with the attorneys whom we have mandated to litigate against third parties. On the liabilities side I liaise with third party attorneys who are claiming against our insured. I assess the merits and decide whether to settle the matter or defend it. What is challenging is dealing with clients that do not understand the processes of litigation and are very angry that third parties are suing them. I remain courteous to all clients and professional as well. I enjoy getting the best results for both my employer and the client as well. For the employer being to recover as much high as possible and settling as low as possible in liability matters. For clients, is refunding the excess or settling the matter for them as soon as possible where they are liable.

I have been involved in Facilities Mnagement for the last 40 years

My responsibility was to Facilities Manage all Telesure offices nationally. My staff compliment was 50 and 5 were Facilities Managers. Teamwork was critical to deliver service excellence ensuring all facilities systems and operational needs are functional and adhere to. The Auto & General Park facility consisted of 24 000 sq. office space for 3000 employees. State of the art (Green solutions) systems and equipment was installed in the facility. Whoever visited and worked in the building experiences a wow feeling on a daily base. It was my privilege to manage it in a professional and international standard. If it wasn't for the restructuring that was done I wouldn't have gone on early retirement.

Pros: Project manage one of the best office buildings in South Africa.
Cons: Restructuring caused early retirement.

Greate experience gained

If I am selected I will be a valuable worker. This is the direction that I would like to develop myself in. My long-term goal is to seeking better work opportunities and expanding my work knowledge. I am currently busy with my National N Diploma in Business Management. Every project I take on, I do the best I know how. I have well developed interpersonal skills and will be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team. I have good communication and organizational skills. I am self-motivated and dedicated with strong leadership skills. I am innovative and able to apply my own initiative. I am also able to analyse the situation critically and take decisions to rectify the problem.

Pros: Greate culture and support, with an amazing team
Cons: Long hours, pressure is extremely high.

Good working conditions and culture

A very good company to work for as they take good care of their employees . The culture is set from the top , from managers to employees, full support offered by managers in terms of helping you reach set targets. The company takes pride in frequent team building as it assists to ease the minds of the sales people , get them to re-focus

Cons: Less room for promotion and constant threat to job stability.

Growth opportunity

I am a vibrant self motivated woman. Once the opportunity for growth was presented I used it, as I am ambitious. During the seven years as a legal a recoveries consultant I obtained my ability to work with a team, under pressure in a target driven environment. The company I worked for also assisted me with my career development, I then obtained my STI qualification and my RE. This motivated me to grow. I them had the pleasure of joining the claims department at the same company which I really enjoyed as it gave me further understand of the insurance industry.

It is a learning curve and got to learn to work under pressure

Having served in collections and call centre roles for the past 3 and half years, with continued success in meeting business/operational goals, I am confident that I can make a valuable contribution to your organization’s future projects and initiatives. What I bring to the position is hard work, administrative and analytical skills. I am young person who is willing to learn and explore as much as possible in whichever position I occupy. In my current position I was appointed second hand in charge, assisting with complaints from client. On top of that I am studying towards a Diploma in Law in order to equip myself when it comes to the law side; I have successfully passed my second year which I am busy with my last year. Doing communication intern at Cross Border Road Transport Agency have assisted in building my communication skills. Working at Telesure Group Services has assisted in knowing how to reach targets and on how to deal with pressure.

UVA - Universal Virtual Assistant

Although still currently employed, I run a virtual assistance business remotely - Universal Virtual Assistant. I offer very similar services as Personal Assistant but have since extended my expertise to updating Facebook pages for clients, various tasks related to Estate Agents requirements, listing properties on Property24 and their websites, putting contracts together as well as communicating to their tenants and landlords for outstanding documentation required. I also have trained small groups on basic Microsoft Excel which is suitable for students or people in the office environment who have not really been exposed to the programme.

Pros: Saves you as my client the time and expense of employing a full time assistant to do the tasks required without having to pay for workstations and equipment, possible medical aid and bonuses as well as the costs of them using your consumables. It frees a lot of time which you could rather spend growing your business whilst I take care of the rest.
Cons: There are just no Cons to contracting to a Virtual Assistant.

Better work opportunities. Greater challenges. Meeting new people

I am a honest hard worker. I like to be challenged. I can work under pressure. I take on average between 25 to 50 calls a day. And register between 10 to 20 claims a day. I do very well in my pipeline and have very good phone ethics. I am a team player. I like to camp and go on tours eg mozambique. I am a single mother and have a child of 4 years. I dont get sick often always at work. I like making customers happy and giving them excellent service. Sometimes dealing with difficult clients can be put off in your daily routine but trying to be calm and engaged with your clients and handeling situations best you can is always best.

Cons: Working long hours
