I am a vibrant self motivated woman. Once the opportunity for growth was presented I used it, as I am ambitious. During the seven years as a legal a recoveries consultant I obtained my ability to work with a team, under pressure in a target driven environment. The company I worked for also assisted me with my career development, I then obtained my STI qualificatio I am a vibrant self motivated woman. During the seven years as a legal a recoveries consultant I obtained my ability to work with a team, under pressure in a target driven environment. The company I worked for also assisted me with my career development, I then obtained my STI qualification/FAIS and my RE. This motivated me to grow. I then had the pleasure of joining the claims department at the same company which I really enjoyed as it gave me further understand of the insurance industry.

Good stable company but no growth
Exciting,challenging and fast paced environment.Incentives on a monthly basis.I feel that I am not recognised and there is no growth opportunities.Nice and stable company to work for but I really need a new challenge and I would like to grow as a person.
Pros: Family oriented company but growth is very limited

Great leaning oppotunities
I work in a busy environment ,sometimes its normal sometimes its hectic but nothing I cant handle. I have a great relationship with my co-workers, we get along very well. What I have learned and I'm still learning ,is take each day as it is and making the bets out of it ,what I enjoy most is the challenges I meet everyday .the most challenging aspect of my job is making sure not to make mistakes I deal with money everyday and the workload that comes with it ,its kind of hectic
Pros: i get to be expose to lot of things and great oppotunity of learning
Cons: favouritism is a huge challenge

Great stepping stone to get into insurance industry
Enjoyed working there for the time I spent at the company the culture is great, friendly team mates. Average work day you spend there is 8 hours and that’s excluding your breaks. Honestly there is no time to chat as you are focused on challengers and queries customers have for you. Most challenging part of my job was making my commission monthly and maintaining my quality of work very difficult to balance the two. Things I picked up along the lines of working there was that the company makes millions very few months and does not remunerate the staff accordingly as per other insurance companies. Salary is market related so they don’t pay you as you exceed in your career. I would of love retiring there but I have tried in so many brown bag sessions to get managers, business managers to look into every ones work and better salaries etc....

Good but need change
Its been a long but educational learning curve in the industry,ive learnt a lot from wirking with gkass claims ,to working with assessment centre and panelbeaters;all this o can take with me for pwrsonal exoerience and coukd also provide advise to close relatives and family member.
Pros: They have gym on the premises
Cons: Difficult clients , have to drive 100 km a day

Due to relocation I was forced to leave my position.

Excellent Learning opportunity
On a daily basis I deal with claims for and against our insured. On the recovery side I liaise with the attorneys whom we have mandated to litigate against third parties. On the liabilities side I liaise with third party attorneys who are claiming against our insured. I assess the merits and decide whether to settle the matter or defend it. What is challenging is dealing with clients that do not understand the processes of litigation and are very angry that third parties are suing them. I remain courteous to all clients and professional as well. I enjoy getting the best results for both my employer and the client as well. For the employer being to recover as much high as possible and settling as low as possible in liability matters. For clients, is refunding the excess or settling the matter for them as soon as possible where they are liable.

Very dull environment with little motivation to reach one's highest aspirations.
- A typical work day Calls usually start from 8:00 but 90% of them all go to voicemails or the numbers are unavailable. When you eventually get to speak to a client, they either not interested or want a type of insurance we do not sell. The atmosphere is not conducive for breeding successful people as there's very little motivation, - Your relationship with co-workers I work with some of the best people i have ever had to work with in my life. - What you have learnt I have learnt to set very high standards for myself as that's the only way to true success. - What you enjoy most System issues. Unrealistic targets with very little input but a high expectation for output. - The most challenging aspects of the job Everything is a challenge as we have blunt tools which we are expected to use to reach the highest feats of success.

I have been involved in Facilities Mnagement for the last 40 years
My responsibility was to Facilities Manage all Telesure offices nationally. My staff compliment was 50 and 5 were Facilities Managers. Teamwork was critical to deliver service excellence ensuring all facilities systems and operational needs are functional and adhere to. The Auto & General Park facility consisted of 24 000 sq. office space for 3000 employees. State of the art (Green solutions) systems and equipment was installed in the facility. Whoever visited and worked in the building experiences a wow feeling on a daily base. It was my privilege to manage it in a professional and international standard. If it wasn't for the restructuring that was done I wouldn't have gone on early retirement.
Pros: Project manage one of the best office buildings in South Africa.
Cons: Restructuring caused early retirement.
