Excellent Learning Curve
I work in the tertiary education environment, my clients are grade 9 to 12 leaners, life orientation teachers and principals and also academic and admin staff. I work in the tertiary education environment, my clients are grade 9 to 12 leaners, life orientation teachers and principals and also academic and admin staff. A big challenge is dealing with peoples perceived egos as the academic staff tend to think less of the admin staff and the University makes a clear distinction between the two groups as well.
Pros: Working with a variety of target audiences
Cons: No promotion oppertunity

Working at University is very rewarding experience as I was able to learn first hand how things work at Department of Information and Knowledge Management. From assisting Department Secretary, Lectures, as well as undergraduate students on daily basis if they need help. The thing I enjoyed most was marking undergraduate assignment as I able learn new concepts and things. What I learned was how to operate various systems within the University.

It was a very strong but smart learning curve.
Its an organisation where I had to face different challenges from different people on a daily basis, because I had to research and learn about different things I was facing on my daily basis. I have a very good working relationship with my co-workers and the management on the higher level although I am no longer working there, because of my hardworking skills and positive spirit to learn something new. The knowledge I have gained is has been useful to a point that I am able to use it on my "personal capacity" [on my own internet cafe]. The most important thing I enjoyed is that I encountered a lot of problems and I had to troubleshoot without any knowledge of what might be the actually result to come and then I had to learn them to improve my skills. The most challenging aspect was that technicians were logged too many calls that was expected to be done in a certain time given but unfortunately some of them were not actually not done on time but were done eventually so.
Pros: Its a great opportunity to work in such a big organisation
Cons: Different challenges on a daily basis

GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN
on a typical day, I work for specific hours. I prepare practical stations, run a practical session on my own and also do some assesment to test whether the students understood the content that was covered in the practical session. I have a good working relationship with my co-workers. When there is anything I need help with, I do ask for help. I have learnt hhow to work with different individuals with different personalities. There is not much of a challenge with my job except that it keeps one on their toes and very busy. I enjoyed teaching students and helping them understand different contents of their scholl work, seeing them progress to the next levels from my efforts was a delight.
Pros: Perfect opportunity for growth and interpersonal skills development
Cons: Contract, not well defined work schedule
