What I exprienced as a tutor
My role was to give feedback and mark practical assignments of first year students who just enrolled in IT every Friday,From 13:50 till 18:45.As there are many first year students there were 3 sessions between the time mentioned,in each session I would mark and give feedback to 12 students per session. The module that I was tutoring in was based on visual basic programming language. In the first semester it included basic data structures, different types of loops and How to use the IDE which is visual studio. In the second semester Object Oriented programming was taught. What I learned during theses sessions is how to communicate with each students based on their knowledge of programming,What I enjoyed the most is when I explained a certain concept then a student understands it instantly. The most challenging part was some students needed multple explanations with practical examples before they could understand a certain concept.
Pros: Get to interact with students and Identify what they are struggling with in the module.
Cons: No cons

Great learning experience
Working at the National Zoological Gardens was a great experience, as I got to work with many animals and interact with various species at the animal hospital. Unfortunately there is no full time positions available for science interns which can be disheartening.
Pros: Being able to interact with various animals.

Research and teaching experience
I spent my normal working days engaging in Independent research and teaching activities for undergraduate students. I built networkswith colleagues within my department and outside my department and I was able to coordinate a successful research leading to scientific research outputs. I believed with good teamspirit we can solve any problem. I enjoyed sharing and impacting knowledge. One of the challenging aspect is managing the different abilities among my students always proved difficult but gratifying
Pros: Great chance to develop and proof myself in the industry
Cons: Inadequate research facility to carryout objectives with set time
