University of Johannesburg Reviews

Great way to serve

It was a great way to learn how to serve others and provide value. This made me to realise that if you serve others you become great in what you do. This has helped in terms of me gaining experience and sharpening my skills.

Pros: The pros was that opportunity is given for students to gain work experience and be excellent in what they do. They are guided at aLloyd times regarding their dreams and gaining experience.
Cons: There is extra working hours and have to cover at any time required by the student.

Excellent Learning Curve

I work in the tertiary education environment, my clients are grade 9 to 12 leaners, life orientation teachers and principals and also academic and admin staff. I work in the tertiary education environment, my clients are grade 9 to 12 leaners, life orientation teachers and principals and also academic and admin staff. A big challenge is dealing with peoples perceived egos as the academic staff tend to think less of the admin staff and the University makes a clear distinction between the two groups as well.

Pros: Working with a variety of target audiences
Cons: No promotion oppertunity
