Excellent Learning Curve

Working at the University of Johannesburg is very good. Although it is not a formal job (Monday to Friday job), I enjoy working there and it actually prepares me to be a professional in the work place. A typical work day includes placing books where they belong in case they have been misplaced, switching on the library computers, train students on how to use Microsoft Office. My relationship with coworkers is very smooth and professional. Working with students has actually helped me to deal with difficult and demanding students and by doing so, it has polished my communication skills. Helping people is what I really enjoy the most. It brings me joy to see people I've helped excel in their studies and life in general.

Great experience

I work 9 hours a day.I work well with my team as we were recruited by an agency.We do technical support,project management and security.I love it here and I have learned quiete a lot.

Exellent learning curve

No thndi king to I am a hard working , self motivated young man with a lot integrity, respect and loyalty . I am a critical and analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems .I have served 50 hours as a student volunteer through the university of Johannesburg�s community engagement projects .I am a young black independent visual artist who has come up with innovative ideas to contribute to the South African art industry . I am a third year student studying towards obtaining a diploma in accounting . I am really interested in actually practicing what I have learned, in a real working environment, grow my career and gain my professional experience.

A different but fun environment to work.

I have been given the opportunity to manage people, draft project plans, direct professional productions and provide administrative assistance of the production. I work with students and professional actors helping them advance their skills further. Sourcing of quotations for all our travels, booking of flights, drafting of reports, schedules and provide performance improvement strategies. Free environment making it easy to work with my co-workers. Learned to work under pressure, meeting dead lines, organised, drafting of proposals, and to adapt. I enjoy working the student.The most challenging thing about my job is working with difficult clients.

Good company they teat their staff well. It is a healthy working environment that encourages creativity and independence. Each employee is valued and knows their worth and is made aware of their worth

Excellent learning curve, Excellent time management skills

I was able to work at the university of Johannesburg as part of the RAG which is a NGO that helps students as well as other other charitable organizations

Pros: Great opportunity to learn about my interpersonal skills,time management,computer literacy as well as planning and organizing events
Cons: Conflicted with my studiess cause it needed more time
