Excellent Leaning curve

I started working at woolworths a a till operator which i learned a lot with interacting with people and working with different customers, respecting people, and being discpiplined in everything im doing, i later moved from working as a till operator for 1 year and few month to be a Store administrator which i learned to deal with ordering good, petty cashies, monitoting the cash flow, managing start hours like clocking for them and making sure their hours correspond, dealing with pay roll making sure evry one is payed according to the hours they worked

Pros: Great opportunity for Growth
Cons: Long hours

Excellent in training

working at Woolworths is very good, first Woolworths is a reputable company anyone would like to work for, management so listen to staff and provide extra training when it is needed. their staff comes first. challenge i have encountered on my first day is that all trainings are done in head office and when you are in the store it's like you are in another world, but what I like about their staff is that they help.

Pros: not easy to get promotion
Cons: long hours in deed

Work

It is a typical day at work, No feeling to enjoy work rather to get the day done, I feel my talents are being wasted. And I feel for a better company I could grow better and make it in life. Just looking for a place with potential and better working hours, currently it's difficult to have a personal life

Pros: Can climb ladder in business
Cons: Horrible shifts

Good learning curve

I am currently employed as a till operator, flexi 28, we normally work 32 days a months depending on our staffing, but the minimum working ours for us 28hours per month, we work 8 hours a day, we are all taught to have a good relationship with each other, that is greeting with smile is the key to creating a positive environment, i have learnt to interact with other people, team work, to always stay positive about everything, and so many other things, what i enjoy most is to engage with with positive people that makes my day to go well and dont get lazy to go to work, and that helped me to make the customers smile everyday, whats challenging is that could be difficult to work with, even when you try so hard they don't respond, but we keep on trying....we asked sometimes to go an etra mile by assisting other departments when its not that busy in our department, and we cooperate with that

Pros: we do have opportunities to grow but it takes some time for us to be allowed to grow to other positions
Cons: its normal working hours, different shifts
