Im willing to learn what ever new.

I have call centre certificate and i have ten modules in information technology from unisa.im working at woolworths as a cashier, data capturer and receptionist.i have one year experience.im willing to learn anything new.llike to work with other people i dont like to work under supervision cause im a hard worker as long as you shown me a job i know what must i do.

Pros: i like to know my job very well. i like to know the job of the other department.i like to learn something new every time

Receiving and dispatching stock effectively and accurately as per store score card.

Verifying delivery conditions prior to breaking of seals .Ensure that the store is clean and safe environment by applying housekeeping disciplines. Do weekly tests,e.g generator tests,alarm tests,compliance pack and evacuation training. Adhere to company policy,procedure and legislation as per OHSA act in line with corporate governance.

It has thought me so many things

I hv work more than 6 years I hv a lot of experience from picking nw a hyster driver, I started as a temporally employer then became permanent afer 2 years nw I'm 6 years permanent.I am a hard worker my hard working pays me off to become permanent iam a team worker I work well with deffent people and race to me communication is the key

Excellent learning curve

I have been in retail as a manager for 9 years and I have learnt different things from the two companies that I have worked in. I am currently a Foods manager at Woolworths and our main focuses are our people and our customers. We engage a lot with our staff aswel as with the management team o that everyone is well informed and is working towards the same goals. We always try to involve our people in ways of improving our ways of working and that becomes very clear in the kind of service we give to our customers. We are also very strict when it comes to processes because they drive availability, presentation, customer service. We work very closely with our staff interms of performance management and coaching and that yields great results and dedication from our people. I run two very big departments in my store, which is the sales floor team and our service area team (Interactive department) and overall that is +35 staff.

Pros: great working conditions, great support from the regional staff and management, intouch interms of staff and customers, continuous training and development for managers, everyone respects the values of the company
Cons: growth process is very slow, move around a lot, lack of managers on the system meaning that we have reduced managers in stores, end up taking a lot more work load, lack of recognition for great performance.

M woolworths don't have stories when it comes to payment and they pay you according your hours woolworths when you report before they gave you the day you are asking for bt when it come3to family responsibility they gave you the time to go home but when you camping back you must bring the proof of certification

Opportunities

I have been working as manager for my company for 13 years now, it is great company that is grounded on it's values and all the staff members are living by the company values. I have both in the stores FMCG and now in supply chain, I have grown a low as a manager. Woolworths encourages B style leadership, that alone has made me enjoy leading my team members. It is a very diverse cultural company, having to work with deaf employees was challenging and yet fulfilling. In years of my career have developed a lot of people and my recent person under my development has bee appointed a team leader from a position of being a clerk. Companies go through change, and change is often difficult more especially if it challenges your comfort zone and I have been one of those people that I found it difficult to adjust but as soon as I embraced the fact that I had to change departments in order to grow and learn.

Excellent learning for permanant employees

I worked for one year in the cold chain department ,there only part that I liked was having the meeting everyday for 30 minutes,the hard time is when you pick heavy staff every time when you go to pick knowing that is not easy to reach daily target.

Pros: yes
Cons: 8 hours a day was enough for me.
