Woolworths Reviews

Good customer service

In Woolworths I’ve learned how to give a good customer service and work as a team with my ex co-workers. We were trained for product knowledge so it was easy for us to assist the customers finding the product. I was a supervisor managing the till operators if they giving the customer good customer service.

Pros: Good opportunity for growth
Cons: 8 hour to 10 hours

Excellent learning curve

The company is a great big company to be apart of. I learnt a lot from them concerning the ethics and principles of the business. This note only help me deal with situations within the work force but helped me on a daily basis as well.

Pros: great opportunity
Cons: was wasting me time in a field i was not qualified for.

Excellent learning curve

I loved working for Woolworths and embrasure their organisational culture. Just a pity that most employees don't live the brand. For the time I've worked for the company I've learnt a lot through regular in house training sessions. What I enjoyed mist was coaching and mentoring my staff. The best feeling ever is do see those you have taken under your wings, growing and moving forward and ultimately achieving the goals they have set for themselves. Even though I've left the company some of them still keeps in contact with me and it's so comforting knowing that they still value the time and effort that I gave them.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Lo g working hours

I don't think there is any growth for females in this company

I have been sent on every thinkable training intervention .benefits are good but there are long hours and late hours .we do not get paid overtime for public holidays Colleagues are usually very knowledgeable Promotions are based on skin colour and not performance related

Pros: Benefits
Cons: Long working hours

Salary

It's a great company to work for but I'm not happy with the salary and long hours regarding the work we do and being under pressure because of being short staffed. It's depressing and tiring to as a human being

Pros: Great for my profile because it's a big well known company
Cons: Long hours

Nice working environment

Ensuring that all deliveries to store are on time, picking and sorting is according to stores requirements. Keep food in the correct temperatures. Here managements treat employees as part of them and part of the organization with respect and dignity. The culture is that of a family. I have learned to be humble and open meaning approachable. The most hardest part was to leave the company.

Pros: Staff members are very nice and professional.
Cons: Long working hours including weekends, the salary isn't enough
