Great opportunity for learning working conditions in the financial sector
-Very busy deadline driven in terms of monthly tasks -Daily tasks very unpredictable; although driven by tasks at hand like claims -Dealing with member enquiries not limited to own clients -Sound relationship with co-workers and assisting each other as best we could -The casual although professional atmosphere in the office

Career Growth
I basically make business easier for the financial planners to go overboard of their targets by planning and organising the compliance and new business documents needed to either initiate or finalise new or existing business. As per my personal work ethics together with the company`s reputable name, I deliver in accordance to the Act involved, the company image and the best interest of the Client. I work as individual on my designated daily work as well as team with the financial planners and my fellow assistants when I need clarity on other cases as I learn from their strategies and approach. I enjoy working towards targets as I feel better with a little of completion and pressure.

Excellent learning curve
Learnt a lot at Alexander Forbes as they have you administrator all sorts of claims such as retirements withdrawals, deaths, and divorce orders, we administrator living annuity investments and we administrator the funds as a whole by completing monthly contributions.

Sales Face to face Take care of existing clients Get referrals Helps you know to deal with différent cultures and people Environment is quite something to look forward to if you person that doesn't deal well with micromanagement

Excellent Learning Curve
Long working days - more than prescribed Good relationship with co-workers Learnt a lot in Finance and Wealth Management as well as corporate environment Enjoy the people the most Most challenging aspect is Work Overload and striking the balance work/life No job satisfaction - not remunerated according to my worth and no scope for promotion in the Durban office

Being a trainer you need to be a peoples person. i believe i am .
QA and Training Specialist within the Contact Centre. . I truly believe that being part of Liberty Life and Alexander Forbes (AFICA) has given me enough experience to take on any pressure that I will be facing in the company. I work well under pressure and I am very versatile, I adapt quickly to a new environment, I am a team player and sure deliver what is expected from me and beyond. Kind Regards Queen

Learning curve
I enjoy what I do, the only reason for moving is for more growth. A typical work day is extremely busy, with lots of queries and calls, and lots of pressure especially at month end, I have however learnt to deal with this. I have a great relationship with my colleagues, we have a good relationship and we understand and assist each other. I work with a great team and I enjoy the way we work together. Month end cut off is the most challenging time for me.

Excellent experience in tax legislation and retirement funds
Work directly with tax legislation and new laws that have been introduced. Work with company and member level directly. Under constant pressure as we work with service level agreements according to fund set up. Also work with investment instructions regarding contribution given per member. We currently under staffed and working up to 4 funds per administrator. As no replacement staff has been recruited .As from July we are 10 staff down due to resignations. As we feel we are not being compensated accordingly. Normal debtor / creditor administrator receive at least 4000 rand more on salaries. People are are friendly and wonderful colleagues.
Pros: Training supplied continously as to keep us updated todate regarding tax legislation and retirement fund laws.and also on all new laws that have been implemented and act ammendments from the FSB
Cons: Constant pressure. No back up for you on your funds as we are under staffed "no buddy system in place "there can not be any assistance for you and your funds as everyone is constantly busy trying to complete their own work.we are open the whole year no closing time during December.thus taking annual leave or any leave is impossible. As there is no one to stand in for you on your funds regarding member claims or queries. Nor investment instructions regarding contributions. Emails pile up and queries. We receive app 60 mails a day and have 24 hrs to respond. Thus if you are ill or take 2 days leave. You fall behind and complaints are received from members and you then have a risk against you in that period of receiving warnings and also then being marked down on your performance. Which then directly effects any possible increase on your salary as you're a poor performer.
