My job and what I have learnt.

I work as a quality analyst where my duty is to ensure that the customer complains are being attended to. When the product we sold to the customer does not comply with the customer's requirements, my job is to recheck that material. I also deal with raw material and unknown material (provide with chemical composition). I also ensure the instruments are in a good working condition and properly calibrated. I have been fortunate to work with amazing people which makes our work place a good environment. I enjoy everything about my job more especially when I provide a possible identity to unknown samples. My job was challenging when I first started because I came from a paint industry to a steel industry, but I managed to adapt quickly . I have learnt a lot , from working with people of different ages and races, variety of instruments , thinking outside of the box and whole lot of other things.

Hard worker, fast learner and ambitious

Am a qualified diesel mechanic at ArcelorMittal Newcastle, I maintain and service forklifts,locomotive, earth moving equipment and diesel engines, I have 2 years working experience. I have my own transport and tools box.

Im a good employee

good day I have worked as an instrument and electrical assistant at Arcelormittal mettal so I have a good understanding of electricity and instrumentation... Transmittes, flowmeters, pyrometers and many more..installation of motos,pumps,valves and also to check if all calibrations are still withing the parameters...

• General Maintenance of all equipment of electrical and mechanical nature such as metallurgical coke making machines, gearboxes, valves, pumps, hydraulic actuators, hot rails and trolley wires, , low voltage transformers, electric motors, vibration screens, etc. • Inspection of machines and equipment for safety and related aspects like machine guards, carbon dust build up in electrical panels, terminal boxes and slip ring electric motors, pull trips and other required emergency stops, platform condition, handrails condition, plant safety and warning boards/signage enclosure and demarcation of access controlled/ restricted areas, ensure all set /required safety procedures for accident prevention and fatality prevention standards are in place. Inspect for defects and non –conformance and implement corrective measures.

Excellent learning curve

Each and every new day is a challenge due to different tasks that arise and new learning curves. I am relaible, trustworthy , go-getter, always show initiative,i am a good team player, good communicator. Suppervising team members, working with different types of people with different ideas. It is enjoyable when the company is doing well and meeting targets because at the end there are motivations. Most challenging , short dead lines that gives too much pressure.

Great learning opportunity

Really good experience and high level of responsibility. Do not like to be stagnant. That is an issue currently. Like to do research and apply it. Currently not possible.

Good skills acquired

The training after qualifying its not taken seriously I got good colleagues that attributed a lot on my career and with support. I have learnt to read PLC Logix5000 On my daily duties I have calibrated TDC, hardy scales control valves, level transmitters Simulate Temperature transmitters Work on ladle burners knows the operation well

I hereby apply for mechanical fitter.i have mechanical engineering n6. I need work experience in order for me to complete my qualification. I am energetic person who can work under pressure and standby and overtime and time keeper.
