l am a young am aged 34 who underwent a four year course in turning and machining ,l was then employed at two different companies for five years after which l came to south africa where l am currently working at acerlormittal and l should mention that l have been instrumetal in reviving the workshop l am highly accurate with the micrometer ,vernier caliper and also very efficient with using the lathe machine ,bore machine,milling machine ,line boring onsite ,screwcutting l have also extensive use of slotting machine

A passionate artisan, aimed at result achievement

A passionate and reliable well-experienced artisan working as a supervisor of 7 artisans in a safety oriented, result driven organization. Worked as a contractor for 2 years then got promoted to permanent position. Promoted to senior artisan in 2011. Currently working as supervisor

Pros: Daily maintenance and improvements on plant instrumentation equipment and control loops
Cons: Limited job security due to fluctuations in the steel market

Willing to learn further

I like people and willing to work wwith or without a team ,can work under a lot of streets.we are rolling iron in different profiles so I am doing roll gap adjustment, changing groove, mounting water pipes,checking the size of the profile

Excellent learning curve

I am a qualified Electrical Engineer with approximately 4 years working experience obtained within the maintenance and project environment of automation, low and medium voltage engineering, performing maintenance, reliability and upgrades. Key skills include project management, commissioning, maintenance execution, programming and technical support service

Excellent

My everyday at work consists of shifts handovers, daily routine inspections( electrical and mechanical), condition base monitoring, and faultfinding both electrical and mechanical and minimizing delays. I have a good relationship with my senior and production team guys as we both have to run the plant with least delays and productively. I have good leadership skills as I do sometimes lead in some projects and solving problems. I enjoy working in teams and having to attend to new or challenging problems. The most challenging aspects is working under pressure and delivering the very best service one can offer at difficult situations.

I am a very enthusiastic and diligent person who continuously strives for excellence in every opportunity.
