A typical work day: - Starts with reading the previous days plant delays and attending the daily production/maintenance meeting. - From a progress view point and technical offer assistance to problems experienced in the plant. - Work on projects. - Work on continuous improvement analysis, solutions and implementation thereof. What you enjoy most?: - The room for improvement that exist in the plants, since old equipment. - The need for continuous idea generation plant effectiveness and efficiencies is analyzed and solutions given and implemented. - The need to continuously improve the business and plant process and the ability to challenge strategies and recommend room for improvement. - The fact that the company is a global company thus assistance and learning made easier with sister plants around the world. The most challenging aspects of the job: - Developing low cost solutions and funds released due to financial difficulties within the company.
Pros: Excellent multidisciplinary experience and exposure
Cons: No salary increases or bonuses. Stagnant career growth.

Verry quick learner
I was working for mittal for 11 years where i learn alot of things i learn about diffrent lifting equipment .i learn how to work with people the diffrent way's to approach people in diffrent situations.i have to check the qaulity of the produck that we manufactured and also the quantity.we have tagets that we must meet, so you must keep your team motivated.

Professional in my field
Currently a maintenance planner top 3 in south africa in Arcelormittal aiming to be the best. I will not let my co-worker or company down in a task at hand. Driven to complete all planning tasks daily and staying in budget, 9years experience in manufacturing and chemical field, the most challanging part of every day is to ensure best qaulity and on time delivery. Excellent poeple skills.

Excellent training experience
I am a very so sociable person I work well with pears. I consider myself hard working and goal orientated. I understand the importance of work and personal social habits how to balance it and stay focused when it comes to work. I am a reliable person, honest and friendly. I enjoy my career choice and I hope to push myself hard to grow within my career choice.

Building and rebuild of furnuses
Manufacturing and maintenance company within the company all artisans as well as engineer team up to complete all tasks at hand together with the management and skilled workers.
Pros: promotions are very scares as it is a tradesmans work.
Cons: we work long hours overtime

Excellent exposure
The exposure is nice and the environment we learn to work in different plants servicing 11kv breakers and transformers. Doing fault finding is the interesting part and its easier if you work with people who understand you and as a team
Pros: You have to work hard n have much experience before promotion

Excellent learning experience
Good industry, working individual and as a team. Excellent experience for boilermaking. Core-competencies we gain: Working at heights. Working on Confined space. Working with conveyer belts. Fabricating pipes, structures, hot and cold screens. Maintain strands. Practicing health and safety at all times. Good house keeping Team player and good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Repairing chutes, structures, handrails, ladder, mixing drums and other. Designing brackets for limits, lights, cameras etc.
Pros: I enjoyed working individual cos it made me knows my job better.
Cons: 8 hours a day or more if the job is not finished or the break downs.

I have knowledge in working in team and well motivated candidate who comply with all the company's safety procedures °Safety conscious °Adhere to Company's 5s °Comply with all the cardinal rules and fatality prevention standards °Use Buddy system
Pros: I gain a lot of experience and I was still willing to take the company into the next level only if there were vacancies available
