Excellent learning curve

I enjoyed working at Edgars as it gave me experience but when it comes to salary and the way management treated us I don't like it. As for employees we also have rights no one should have rights to talk to me the way they like. We should all corporate in the business so that we can give a best customer service to our customers

Being passionate about working with people

Working with people is one of the things I love about my job ., you get to relate with colleagues and customers and you also learn life lesson that you could never learn if you were not talking to people everyday.. I’m also updated by the latest fashion trends and nothing beats dressing a customer and making them feel good about themselves.. I always feel at home and can be myself and laugh with my customers and listen to their life experiences and their family values, different cultures and beliefs. Dealing with difficult customers taught me to calm down and also make them feel that they are heard and we always put them first.

Excellent cashier

excellent cashier and providing good service to customers. helping customers with smiles everytime. enjoying sales and promotion days. good relationship with my team and respecting my team include manager and supervisor. I have leant to work as a team

Not much teaching

For what I studied is not that productive. I have learn to work under pressure. I learned to use my interpersonal skills. I learn how to deal with different customers. I love to interact with different customers to get their views

Edgars allows me to be an all rounder because i am exposed to almost every aspect of the company.

When i get to work the first thing todo is house keeping. Once i am done with house keeping i then attend to customers if they are there. If not i would be merchandising edgars products. I also do the weekly report for the successes and failures of the products and the critical shortages. Every hour ive to jot down the cummulative sales done just to see what time we sell the most. At edgars i am casual worker soo i frequently work with different people therefore i get to interactive more with people with different backgrounds. I enjoy attending to customers and merchandising though i am still learning how to merchandise.

Good leaning curve

It was ok ,working there but they can improve on the salaries and demanding working shifts.benefits must be included as well . Managers must start treating their stuff with respect .working conditions must be improved as well .air conditioner must be working well.and toilets must be cleaned up for the workers.

Excellent learning curve about dealing with customers and good communication

Team work and good communication Learning new things everyday I have learned that family is not about blood or surname related but you can have one anywhere, were we support each and work as team. I’ve learned that fights are not the best solution and to deal with that you need to calm and analyze the situation or problem. The challenge was the working hours and the salary

Excellent learning curve

We worked under alot of pressure in a fast paces industry. We followed policies and pressures just like other companies. We always work as a team in most tasks and that creates a good relationship among us as employees. I've learnt alot of things working there because I had a little experience of how to behave and be professional in a working place I learnt all that in that company. Providing excellent customer service is very vital and we all wanted to satisfy our customers and there were prizes to be won as a employee of the week that also lead us to do our job properly. The challenging is when customers orders online and when come to store to collect the item is not available.

To be friendly with customers all the time

Its great working with people customers and co workers we always have an understanding with each other my co workers are like my friends at most times we advice each other when the other is slacking. Ive learnt a lot especially on how to treat customers and co workers treat them with respect and dignity What i enjoy the most at work is doing makeovers seeing that bright smile on a customers face it makes my day...the most challenging part about my job is sales so for that we create an event or make special discounts and give away free gifts
