Excellent learning curve

We worked under alot of pressure in a fast paces industry. We followed policies and pressures just like other companies. We always work as a team in most tasks and that creates a good relationship among us as employees. I've learnt alot of things working there because I had a little experience of how to behave and be professional in a working place I learnt all that in that company. Providing excellent customer service is very vital and we all wanted to satisfy our customers and there were prizes to be won as a employee of the week that also lead us to do our job properly. The challenging is when customers orders online and when come to store to collect the item is not available.

Good experience

I worked at Edgar's as a retail associate it was a good experience ,csz I worked with different human beings helping them through their shopping and assisting in paying. Working hours where to much and very strained but its good to work for Edcon.Employees are good hungry for growth and always on point to grow the company.

Excellent learning curve

Working at Edgars have given me a chance to get out there and do what I'm best at and that is giving my customers the best experience they can have within the store, I work with amazing people at Edgars working with the people I dowill as thought me how to work well withfor othere and build a strong relationship with them. The difficulty when working in retail is customers when they are upset but that isn't a problem for me as I know how to make a customer smile again.

There is no growth at all oppotunities are lost because you end up training some that is going to be your leader without being given a chance yourself to prove yourself

Energizing industry

It gives more opportunities to meet new people and connect, more opportunities to grow as a person also. The challenging job aspects are; customers who always complain even about things we can't control as staff for an example clothes sizing. However the energy is there, communication, teamwork, leadership, workshops and quarterly exercises.

Learning how to communicate with customers, ( customers service?

I like working with customers and the challenges I come across about difficult customers. But I make sure that the customer lives the store happy. I enjoy doing house keeping making sure my department is clean and neat , and I enjoy doing replenishing my products.

Pros: Great opportunity to gain confidence.
Cons: Knocking off late (7pm) and getting at home around 9pm.

Excellent learning curve

I do all accounts queries,,and assist customer with payments even.doing sales,I love the environment I work under,,you get to under different people at once and staff is friendly , I have learners that we must respect people they way they are,we mustnt judge according to their looks,,and all customer must be treated equally the one who buys cash and those who uses accounts,,and now I have an excellent problem solving skill,very innovative I enjoy the environment I'm working at,,,,getting staff discounts,,,and we mostly makes target for the day The most challenging aspects is fraud nd disputes ,they are very challenging Cz have to extra careful ,,even if u are bt still they is fraud dat you don't know how,,,nd the most challenging is that there is no growth at Edgars

Good environment to learn and interact with customers

I work 8hours a day , I am a 108 hours on a (ppt) contact ,"permanent part timer" I interact nicely with my colleagues and customers , and I am a person who is willing to learn everyday and from everyone , I enjoy doing replenishment and when I do more sales. And giving out good service. My change about my current job is when m facing difficult customer.
