Great employment experience
We get a lot of training in different aspects of the business not only your job. We are very busy and yet we get the job done we are used to it. I have a very good relationship with my colleagues due to my experience because I have been exposed to almost all the jobs in the branch. I have learnt a lot from handling clients and staff to performance management and soft skills on how to behave at work in general. I enjoy being able to assist anywhere when I'm needed and not being confined to one role. The most challenging aspect of the job is getting people to do what is expected of them you have to exercise a lot of patience or you will not get anywhere.
Pros: You get training that makes you more marketable in the financial industry.

Stepping stone to work for innovative bank
Working at FNB it was a dream come as it gave me experience and knowledge to work with different ethnics groups, to learn about each other differences. More importantly to assist clients on a daily basis and to go extra miles in resolving clients concerns and issues and hearing their laughter on the phone that made my day that i have retained them. The challenging part is when a client is being transferred in all different departments and they come to you and you have to make sure that you are the ending point in that you need to do all you can to help the client.

Excellent opportunities
Please refer CV...currently at FNB Business Projects and Operations. Overseeing approximately 300 projects for FNB. Previous department at FNB was a FM for Self Service Delivery, direct reports 9 at Head Office and one staff in each of the 6 regions overseeing Finance function and getting involved in business case drafting for business unit Projects, assisting Operations / Sales and various areas of the business unit for cost efficiencies and clean audit reports.
Pros: Great opportunity to learn in different divisions
Cons: Long hours over budgets at bank city which is not safe

Good work experience
-Great work experience. - Broadened my knowledge with regards to banking . - Give me an opportunity to deal with with difficult clients. - I am left to manage the floor at the branch on my own for short periods of time in my working day.

Excellent learning curve

Lovely atmosphere, nice people
My years at FNB had a mix of it's ups and downs, I however just remained focused on my work. I feel that the less friends I make at work the better it is for me, people had a habit of getting into ones personal business which in turn can affect your working relationships. In certain ways they are not very professional, I do however appreciated that they have given me the opportunity to further my experience.
Pros: Great opportunity for promotion if you're in the bosses good graces.
Cons: Favouritism, however you get that at most places so there's no escaping it.

Attention to detail
I would have to log on my work station. Ensure that all credit interest rates have been refreshed for the day. Check if there are any matured investment account. 9am I would get calls from branches requesting me to deal rates for new money or existing funds. With the banks liability in mind, we would proceed and negotiate rates.
Pros: Kept in touch with inflation, and economy
Cons: No room for error
