Recieving high volume of calls especiallly month end and handling them in a good pace there was a good relationship with them and respect i have learn to handle the call and troubleshoot with the customer and being polite to them,when the system is offline it was the biggest challenges that we experienced.

Excellent stapling stone
-First thing when I arrive prepare my desk and make sure my headsets are working ,And for the rest of the day take calls store my headsets safely at the end of the day and clear up my desk -My relationship with co-workers is more like a family than co-workers -I've learned the values of team work and take it in my strides to handle difficult customers -Being part of a team in achieving similar goals -Handling difficult customers -Meeting the five metrics;AHT ,CSI ,REASON CODE,FCR ,TRANSFERS

Easy to adapt to new change and fast
when i get to work i prepare my desk where ill be taking calls make sure my headset are working -my relationship with co-workers is more like a family there is a special bond and understanding amongst us workers -i have learned how to work with a team -being with my co worker -dealing with eye red customer ( angry customer )

Good learning experience
i strongly believe in empowerment it boosts the mind , I come from a background whereby many never thought i would make it i my studies the way we were struggling but i said to myself i don't want to see my family struggling , it pained me every time when i see the struggle of my family. God gave me and opportunity to lean and change my family's wellbeing .the company it self give me experience an opportunity to grow and gain knowledge on customers experience it i wished to stay with the company but the problem is that they do not have marketing post and their cannot offer me an intership but with the overall of things they have thought me well enough i don't want to lie

Good for getting work experience for the future
It is a management centred work environment, with some people given attention and respect and some viewed as nothing. You do not get recognised for your job well done if you do no really matter or unless something puts them on spot to do so. Lots of technical issues and inexperienced teamleaders who do not know how to fight for their teams or agents are hired. If you do not meet companies rules in the slightest manner or management's liking you are nothing and are likely to see the door.
Pros: You do not see customers swearing you face toface
Cons: limited growth opportunities and bad working environment

Success driven
Good day, I am currently working as a 1st Line Technical Support Officer in the Fixed Mobile Converged department at Merchants Vodacom Business Unit.I have beenin this postion for 1 year. I have over two years experience within the outsourced customer care environment.Due to this I have a Firm understanding of fundamental components that have exist in any customer driven environment. My emphases are about people ,customer experience,processes and technology.

Excellent Growth
The only thing worth coming to work for are co-workers as of late. The company always put its employees first, however lately all it has cared about is its own self-growth and in the process has lost most of its tenured employees. I've gained a great deal of experience working within this business.

Learning curve
Dealing with different customers but being able to solve they queues. Meeting campaign's target Working with different peaple learning other people's views and being able to learn from that.

I gained a lot of experience especially customer experience.
Merchants is a well-known company, great atmosphere especially with the young youth like me very energetic. I got a chance to be taught by one of good team leader's Sibusiso Gumede merchants has produced. He taught me all about how to become responsible as an agent and how to control your stats, how can one become best at his/her calls. I learnt how we generate revenues with just taking that call. It's great really, few serious issues we had was that there was not enough sufficient training especially on New Vodacom products. So when the customer asked why this is happening? you'll have to put on hold and go and confirm something you never heard of, secondly I constantly have issues with the companies working hours. We work abnormal shifts and having constant issues with our payment as well. It came to a point it didn't matter anymore and there's too many of us so chances are they'll want to put it on your next salary. I guess every company has its own problems I told myself. It's a good company
Pros: I have moved in 3 departments RED CBU which is Vodacoms exclusive customers, and in the whole process I got an award for the Vodacom Flight Program.
Cons: Long and abnormal working hours with one day off per week, payment queries every month. Systems and server issues on a daily basis makes it difficult to help that customer and this results in stats failing us, well that's not a Vodacom problem , t's Merchants servers. The thing is Vodacom on stats he their own targets so as Merchants and Merchants targets are higher than Vodacom and when you don't meet up with them you get to sign warnings so it's difficult really.
