I work 8-5 shift I train all the new employees in my Department,Im a team worker, Like learning new challenges. I have learnt to be patient with other co-workers , respect and help each other . I enjoy new challenges. Most challenge at work is when the Users/Customers are not happy with the service giving to them and escalate to the Managers.

My job description
I am sibongile sonkosi worked at Merchant as a customer service consultant and i learnt a lot especially when it comes to interacting with customers and ressolving their queries and problems , i have to deal with different kind of characters and understand different kinds of people , i know how to emphathise and be patient and carefully Listen to customers and also know that it is my duty to ensure that they are satisfied, i was good in working with my team and Always wanted to be no 1 amongst other teams, i knew i had to be presente everyday and Always arrive on time at work because punctually is important as there was a specific time to be logged in .

Cons: We worked atleast 9 hours a day

Day at work includes less mingling because we are constantly on calls for 3hrs straight with two 15mins break or sometimes an 1hr lunch and back on calls for 3hrs again . otherwise the enviromnent is filled with nice people from the agents to specific team leaders and managers too . Talking to the customers is an enjoyable thing to do , giving them advice and them listening . Its an easy thing to do but not always. I learnt that the saying "customers are always right " is not true in reality only in the cust serve industry. The most challenging thing about it , is that you get paid hourly ( payment is not fixed) , the working hours are ridiculous , off days too , transport is not provided for when you knoff off really late and warnings are signed for just about any little wrong move you do and you get escalated a lot

I am very hard working,i can work with a team,and able to lead the group.
I have worked for SAA under Merchants for three months,doing flight bookings and i was transferred to Vodacom as call centre consultant.I work a the team leader assistance and also assisting new stuff on job training.I enjoy working in a large team because love to be around people and exchanging ideas.
Pros: I would also like to be promoted as the team leader
Cons: I don't mind the hour am willing to work any hours

Working nat Merchants
Its a very good company to work at,there is growth and the relationship with my co workers is excellent they are very lovely people willing to assist if there is a problem one might need help with, I have learnt to how to work in a multi cultural environment ,how to collaborate with other co-workers,I mostly enjoy being at work and doing my job as it is a very exciting job to do it,so far i wouldnt say there has been anything that is challenging as I have a good team that i work with and we tackle most of those challeges together as a team.

Excellent learning environment
At the company that I am working at I have learnt a lot. I learnt the importance of working with different personalities. I have learnt that what ever is going on in your life whether its personal or to do with the business youneed to be on your A game always ready to deliver.

The experience of working at Merchants
Working at Merchants is a great experience I learn something new everyday, how to handle customers and conflicts. At Merchants we're a family irrespective of different backgrounds that we come . What I enjoy the most is the quality time we spend when we are working.

Excellent communication skills and good customer skills
Merchants gave me a good experience it was a good company with it challenges,I've learned so many eg good intercommunicatin, intracommun ication, customer service and good telephone manner.
